The Left Is Obsessed With Destroying Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney, unlike most prominent celebrities who dominate popular culture, doesn't talk about politics, even when asked.

You get no lectures from her about the issues of the day. She neither waves the flag nor kneels when the national anthem is sung. She acts, does ads, and does the required media availabilities, which is another way to say that she does her job without presuming to tell us what to think or bullying us into feeling guilty about anything.

Other celebrities have followed that policy, but they let themselves be bullied into becoming advocates, or indulged in the practice once their celebrity status was secured. Taylor Swift was a notable case; for years she stayed out of politics, but when she was attacked as a white supremacist icon (really?! says who?), she started doing advocacy all the time.

The one thing we know about her politics is that she is a registered Republican, and when you put that together with the obvious fact that white men (and non-white men) find her attractive, she has been coded by the Left as "MAGA."

Now you and I might think that being MAGA means...being MAGA, which implies taking a strong political stance in favor of Trump and engaging in the culture war. But in the eyes of the Left, anybody who doesn't wage war against MAGA is MAGA, because politics and culture wars are their identity.

We all recall the American Eagle Jeans "controversy," in which Sweeney was accused of promoting eugenics because of the ad's pun about Sweeney having good genes.

Well, living in a world where Calvin Klein puts morbidly obese models in underwear to prove its wokeness, and Nike does much the same with fat models and Dylan Mulvaney, the Left sees eugenics when anybody who looks pretty is promoted as an ideal.

🚨 “The More Dysgenic, the Better”: Beatrice Adler-Bolton Says the Left Must Give Up the “Fantasy of Being Fitter Than the Fascists”

At Socialism 2026, Adler-Bolton argues that “fitness is a measure of relative disposability under capitalism” and says the goal should not be to become “more useful to the ruling order.”

She says the left should not try to beat fascists “at their own game” by becoming “fitter, more eugenic.”

“In fact, the more dysgenic, the better, I think.”

She closes by arguing that revolution is not “a contest between optimized and properly prepared bodies” and that the very idea is itself fascist.

The rising socialists will insist that dysgenics is the proper frame.

It's unsurprising that Sydney Sweeney hits the sour spot for leftists, because she combines something they find troubling — beauty—with something they find appalling — being a Republican.

So now we have the new Sweeney controversy, based on an ad she did for a sports prediction company. She is filming the ads (apparently, though probably not actually) nude, using sports-related equipment or clothing to cover the naughty bits.

Leftists are going nuts over the ad, claiming that she is degrading women's sports by using her feminine body to sell sex to men instead of uplifting women's achievements.

Posing (mostly) nude focuses on the bodies, not the achievements. How dare she?

This argument is, of course, bovine excrement. Lots of female athletes have done provocative photoshoots, including completely nude ones.

It's just that they are all social justice warriors, and certainly not Republicans. If a Republican does what a leftist does, it is bad, because the person, not the action, is what determines the moral worth of the action.

There is a whole genre of the "stunning and brave" liberals who pose nude, all the way from actresses, sports figures, Lizzo (she has a category all to herself), and others who are celebrated for breaking taboos.

If you need to see any of that, have at it. There are videos of Lizzo's nude photoshoot for all to see. It really is stunning, if not brave.

Those are good forms of nudity. Especially Lizzo in her most obese days, because they served a political purpose.

Sydney Sweeney is starring in a new ad that is sparking controversy — this one by sports prediction platform Novig. The ad features a nude Sweeney, with sports equipment, like footballs, used as censors. Several female athletes have spoken out about the ad online, with many saying it sets female athletes back.

“Idk what Sydney Sweeney was doing, but this is what a woman in sports looks like,” wrote gymnast Gracie Kramer, who inspired other women to share similar posts.

CBS News has reached out to Novig, of which Sweeney is a shareholder, and has not received a response.

It's all an obviously coordinated campaign to punish Sweeney for not being a dues-paying member of the club. There is a campaign to cancel her — again, since the last one failed — and to make her too toxic to get work in Hollywood.

Ironically, Sweeney isn't my type, and I haven't seen her featured in anything other than ads, but it's pretty clear to me that none of this is any more spontaneous than any other media-pressure campaign.

Everything that can possibly be made an ideological issue becomes one; nothing is just what it is, which in this case is an actress and a company trying to make money.

But making money in entertainment is supposed to be reserved for the lefties; it is their space, and nobody else is allowed in.

Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has been infected by socialism, and it's spreading FAST. Democrats are claiming there's nothing to worry about, but we know the truth.
