I am, technically, on vacation, but I couldn't leave you without a Sunday Smiles, could I? And, to be honest, it's not much of a vacation, since I am here in Michigan helping my wife out setting up a downsized house for my father-in-law to move into, and there are a seemingly infinite number of details involved in doing so.
There were a ton of pieces I wanted to write last week. It's hardly an exaggeration to say that every day provided fodder that fits right into my beat. But so it goes.
So here I am, sitting at the rarely used dining room table in my father-in-law's house, trying to think up a profound essay to append to Sunday Smiles.
