We have no precise numbers, for obvious reasons, of how many protesters have been killed in Iran, but the number being floated around is 30-35,000 killed, and somewhere in the six figures injured. Executions are going on, the injured are turned away from hospitals, and the internet is turned off to keep information flow out of the country to a minimum.
The regime has preferentially given out SIM cards to its reliable allies to give them access to the internet to shape world opinion, but only to ensure that they can flood the zone with their own propaganda, as the opposition is silenced.
Iran is a country where women not wearing hijabs can be arrested, raped, have acid thrown on them, and in some cases, killed. The theocratic regime is so repressive that the percentage of people identifying as Muslim has plummeted. It is now about 50% or less Muslim.
The regime is tottering and facing a massive and imminent threat of intervention from the United States.
What to do?
Call CNN.
A CNN correspondent in Tehran appeared captivated by the Iranian government’s carefully staged billboards and messaging, while reportedly failing to address the thousands of deaths in recent days. pic.twitter.com/V0CWQDCmMt

Because of course they would. Aside from Al Jazeera or the BBC, who could possibly be a more reliable ally of a repressive Islamist regime than CNN? Add in the fact that Iran is facing a threat from the dread Orange Man and partnering with the Ayatollah—who is currently cowering in a bunker, by the way—and propping up the Iranian regime is a natural fit.
You have to love the entire setup. The backdrop—defying the United States!—is perfect, the "man on the streets" (better yet, woman on the streets!) interview, and of course, completely ignoring the protests or any of the actual context is totally on-brand.
It's in the same genre, only worse, as the coverage of the Hamas-Israel war, where every death reported by Hamas is treated as gospel, but any accusation against the preferred Islamists is treated skeptically.

Or how about the BBC's remembrance of the Holocaust?
Is the BBC trying to sever all ties with their Jewish listeners?

“Buildings will be illuminated to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, which commemorates the six million people murdered by the Nazi regime.”
Jews. It was six million Jews specifically.
Even on Holocaust Memorial Day,… pic.twitter.com/Z5hdAPnk8g
The BBC has been forced to apologise after failing to name Jews as the victims of the Holocaust in its Holocaust Memorial Day coverage, describing “six million people” killed without specifying they were Jewish. pic.twitter.com/gV025hy401

If you ever wonder why liberals have such a distorted view of the universe, you can start with the constant propaganda by Pravda, which either pushes itself or platforms the most outrageous accusations or defenses.
🚨 WTF?! CNN just aired a liberal claiming ICE is on the verge of putting people in OVENS to execute them

“I’m not saying they’re putting people in ovens YET!” 🤯
He’s openly inciting violence and CNN does nothing.

I would call it shameless, but that would imply that somebody—anybody—in their peer group would call them on it.
Not sure what has happened to the quality of journalism at @NPR but interviewing the son of the former deputy prime minister of the Islamic republic as an expert, without disclosing his ties to the regime, is not it @NPRinskeep pic.twitter.com/Q02o1NZhLr
