You may recall that Keith Ellison, former state legislator, Congressman, and now Attorney General of Minnesota, was the Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee.

In other words, he has been one of the more powerful and prominent politicians in America, at least within the circles of the political elite who run this country. He may not be one of the "front men" whom the Democrats present to the country as a leader, but he certainly has been one of the key strategists who shape the Democratic Party playbook.

Tim Walz, due to his public profile, has been the main target of the political fire, but it's fair to say that, as a front man, he was only the propagandist for this organized crime operation in Minnesota. If anything, Ellison and his successor in Congress, Ilhan Omar, have been more active players.

Ellison is now claiming his office has been on top of this fraud for years, which, in a way, it has been...as participants.
When the Feeding Our Future fraudsters were in some hot water a few years back, they met with Keith Ellison and extracted a promise to keep the money flowing, and of course, he did. He and his son was rewarded with campaign contributions, which helped him win a cushy job as a Minneapolis City Councilman—a job he still holds today, even though he spends his time at Harvard in Boston.

Kind of like a no-show daycare job, come to think of it. Ellison was even recorded making his promise to keep the money flowing.
As the meeting is wrapping up, discussion turns to the date of the next get-together. At 54:37, Ellison can be heard mentioning the day’s date (December 11) and an upcoming trip to Colombia. Then the recording abruptly ends.
On December 20, Ellison accepted four campaign contributions totaling $10,000 (4 X the max $2,500). Donor #1 was Gandi Mohamed, Defendant No. 69 and Ikram’s brother. Gandi has pled not guilty.
Donor #2 was a man (not mentioned above) whose voice can be heard on the Dec. 11 recording, but who has not been charged with any wrongdoing. A third donation was given by a man, also not charged in the case, whose name was mentioned in open court during the most recent Feeding Our Future trial.
That same day (December 20), Ellison’s son, Minneapolis city council member Jeremiah Ellison, accepted campaign contributions from Gandi and K. Ellison’s Donor #2.
In addition, Jeremiah Ellison accepted donations from Salid Said, Ikram, Ikram’s husband, and Gandi’s wife. Also giving were four others later indicted in the case.
Exactly one month after that, on January 20, 2022, the now-famous FBI raids were conducted, shutting down the operations of both Feeding Our Future and Partners in Nutrition.
It's impossible to know whether Ellison was aware of the federal investigation into the fraud; he may have been kept out of the loop by the FBI, who knew he was involved and didn't want the Somali fraudsters tipped off. But it is also possible he was well aware of the investigation and decided to help them anyway, confident that the Biden administration would protect him, given his power in the Democratic Party.
