Rand Paul has repeatedly said that Anthony Fauci should go to prison for his dishonesty and conduct during the COVID-19 pandemic, and, of course, he is dead right about that. Fauci should serve a life sentence in federal prison, where the cost of guarding him will be far less than the $15 million that taxpayers have had to shell out since he retired.
Paul may get his chance to help that effort. He will be chairing the Homeland Security Committee in the Senate, and he chose that role specifically to unravel the coverup that Fauci et al. have engaged in since at least 2019.

Good. Pandemic policies, lies, hoaxes, and the coverup have done incalculable damage to Americans, including undermining our faith in the public health sector, promoting censorship and totalitarian-style propaganda, undermining our economy, harming the working class, and creating an educational and mental health crisis in our kids.
It's time to learn who did what and hold them accountable for this disaster.
Sen. Rand Paul will take over the chairmanship of the upper chamber’s Homeland Security Committee starting in January after two years as the panel’s top Republican — and he’s told The Post he wants to uncover the truth about the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I chose to chair this committee over another because I believe that, for the health of our republic, Congress must stand up once again for its constitutional role,” Paul (R-Ky.) said in an exclusive interview Wednesday. “This committee’s mission of oversight and investigations is critical to Congress reasserting itself.”
“I think we’re on the cusp of, really, the beginning of uncovering what happened with COVID,” the 61-year-old added.
After years of subpoenaing government agencies about research grants and funding related to the origins of the coronavirus, Paul believes his newfound power — coupled with a sympathetic president in the White House come Jan. 20 — will help promote transparency.
Fauci has been treated as a saint by the Establishment; in his actions, he has been more like a demon, helping cause the death of millions through his funding of gain-of-function research.
That, though, was probably not illegal. His perjury before Congress--which is incontrovertible--is. It is for that he can and should be prosecuted. Throw in the effort to illegally hide information and evade FOIA, and he could go to jail for a very long time.
NOW- Sen. Rand Paul Blasts Fauci: 'Massive Coverup' and COVID Lies Exposed |

This morning, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) joined Maria Bartiromo on Fox to discuss Anthony Fauci's scheduled testimony before Capitol Hill tomorrow, June 3rd, 2024.
As the ranking member of the Senate… pic.twitter.com/HCyuE0Ntpi
In a just world, Fauci would pay for his moral crimes of pushing COVID hoaxes--masks don't work, the vaccine was neither safe nor effective for most people, social distancing was a myth, and shutdowns were a good thing--but there is likely little that we can legally do to punish him for there.
Perhaps civil charges? Exposing him to lawsuits would be a good start. If Alex Jones could be forced to pay a billion dollars for harming a few dozen people, what would Fauci be liable for in a case where billions were harmed?
Paul is also spearheading an effort to pass the Risky Research Review Act, which would pump the brakes on dangerous scientific work — like the gain-of-function research many believe created the virus which caused the worst global outbreak in a century.
“The biggest item of the COVID coverup is that for years, we’ve known there is this dangerous research,” said Paul, who added that he wants to ensure Americans are free to discuss such topics without fear of suppression by the government in tandem with social media companies.
Paul recalled being censored on YouTube for saying cloth masks don’t work against COVID-19 and Twitter’s censorship of The Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop ahead of the 2020 election as examples of abuse of power by both the government and Big Tech.
Fauci is not the only one from whom we should demand accountability. The hoaxes and deceptions were a whole of government effort, and the violations of Americans' Constitutional rights came from every corner of government. Everybody involved, at least at the top levels, needs to be held accountable. Whether they are fired, prosecuted, sued into bankruptcy, or punished in some other way, a signal must be sent out that nothing like this will ever be tolerated again.
The COVID lab leak is a huge cover-up by not just Anthony Fauci, but throughout the government, eight different departments of government. The NIH is more secretive at this point than the CIA. https://t.co/21SGcumHdl

The same holds true for those out of government who lied. Not the people who were simply wrong--being wrong is not a crime, and getting things wrong in a crisis is forgivable as long as it was not intentional and for personal gain--but public health officials and scientists who KNEW they were lying need to be punished.
There has been no accountability for the damages done to billions of people around the world. Fauci and his merry band of evil elves should be held up to public ridicule, punished for whatever legitimate crimes they committed, and have the mountains of money they made in recent years yanked away from them.
Rand Paul is just the guy to do it. After all, turnabout is fair play, right?
