Vance Nails It on Pet Eating Scandal

Are Haitians eating people's pets in Springfield, Ohio? Media folks want you to know that it isn't happening.

Sure, nobody cared about the RESIDENTS of Springfield, who have been watching their city drown in a flood of Haitian "refugees" sent there by the Biden/Harris administration--a quarter of the town is now mostly Creole-speaking third-worlders who come from a country where people eat each other. But that is no big deal, and never was to the mainstream media.

What really matters is that a city official says he isn't sure that cats are being eaten by said migrants, proving that anybody who thinks they might be are bad bad xenophobic racists.

J.D. Vance is having none of it. And he is right.

Trump brought the issue up in last night's "debate," and media folks and intellectuals are outraged that he did. He is spreading "misinformation" about what is happening in Springfield, proving he is evil or something.

Yeah, well, I am on his side on this one, and I think Vance's approach to the topic is the right one. Make the media go to Springfield and cover the story by talking to the residents in person. A phone call to a city official isn't reporting; it's ass-covering.

SOMETHING is going on in Springfield, and it isn't good. And it should be a story, because it is a perfect encapsulation of the Biden/Harris immigration policy. Residents are screaming for help, as is the city government.

City officials have been agitating for months or years for additional help as their budget collapses under the weight of too many unemployed and homeless migrants--the city has been dealing with 15-20,000 Haitian migrants in a town of 60,000 residents!--and as far as I can tell only Vance has been trying to help them up until now.

These are the same city officials the media tells us don't have evidence of pets being eaten describing the dire state of the city--ABC's moderators ignored this part of the story:

Their attitude is, "Sure, human beings are being hurt by the flood of Haitian migrants, but the pets appear to be OK, so who cares?"

That's quite a flex. The cats are OK. As a cat lover I am thrilled to hear that, if true (and actually nobody has gone down to ask the witnesses), but the MSM is showing their true stripes. As with all childless cat ladies, their circle of concern ends with the cat. The people actually matter.

The controversy shows the MSM for exactly who they are. They are indifferent to the truth, indifferent to the suffering of ordinary people, and think picking up the phone and getting a vague statement from a government official closes the matter if they like the answer. We already know that at least some of the accusations have turned out to be true, not "debunked," as transcripts from police calls about migrants killing the park wildlife have been turned up by The Federalist

It didn't take a genius to dig this up. Just a shoe-leather reporter who wanted to know the truth.

The MSM doesn't want to know the truth but rather spew a leftist narrative.

A smart reporter would visit Springfield and ask the residents what they think rather than ferret out a quote from some elected official protecting his town. There is a real story here, and if anybody cared about reality they would go there and find it.

That is called journalism. It's what this YouTuber did, finding and interviewing one of the women who testified before the City Council in a clip that went viral.

A lot of conservatives want this whole story to go away because Trump looked a bit deranged last night talking about it. It was weird to anybody who didn't know the backstory.

I disagree. Conservative journalists should go to Springfield and let the residents speak. They have a story to tell, and it isn't a good one for the media or the Democrats. It is the story of ordinary people being abused by powerful interests with an agenda that doesn't include their well-being.

Trump didn't tell the story well, but the story itself is an important one and should be told. Vance is 100% right about that, and we can put the media in its place by telling it.

The story doesn't end with cats being dead or alive; it begins there. Residents of Springfield never had a say in what was done to them, and they are crying for help.

J.D. Vance cares about them. Donald Trump cares about them.

It's quite clear that the Establishment doesn't. That is the real story that must be told, and if it takes rumors about cats and dogs being eaten, so be it. Now go tell the story.
