Indiana University Still Celebrating BLM

My wife is a University of Michigan graduate and a dedicated fan.

Which explains why I had the displeasure to see Indiana’s promo film that universities always insert to bore us to death during their games during commercial breaks.

So imagine my surprise when, after all the controversy caused by BLM’s embrace of Hamas, I saw Indiana University bragging about its support of BLM.

Support for BLM, terrorist lovers.

I guess that is on-brand for academia. But still, the timing may be a bit off.

Just sayin’.

This is, of course, merely a small reminder of how utterly compromised academia has become. BLM has never, ever been a benign peace-loving force about which anybody but the most committed revolutionary should be proud. The establishment has been peacewashing BLM since its emergence, but the fact is that the leadership of the movement has never tried to hide who they are and what they support.

The riots of 2020 were BLM and Antifa working together. The fraud scandals in which tens of millions of dollars was siphoned off into luxury homes and other comforts for BLM leaders has been known for years. The support for terrorism has been there for all to see. And, of course, the descent of our cities into crime-ridden hellholes is due to BLM-supporting politicians and prosecutors. Defund the police, looting, and the further descent of our schools into propaganda mills are all obviously tied to BLM.

Yet despite all this evidence, academics are still celebrating it. On TV. In football games. Which are hardly the best place to find sympathizers with the movement.

Indiana has a Republican governor and Republican majorities in the legislature. They have the power to influence the university’s leadership.

Now is the perfect time to do so.

Americans are waking up to academia’s hostility to Western culture, and now is the perfect time to trim its sails. Not every governor has quite the political power that Ron DeSantis has in Florida to strip their academic institutions of all the ideological rot, but all of them should seize this opportunity to give an ideological beatdown to the America-haters.

Governor Holcomb: your move.
