January 6th prosecutor is totally out of control and should be fired

I have written two posts today about the corruption at the core of our law enforcement system.

Now I will write a third one.

Watch this video and explain to me how on Earth anybody could be comfortable with a legal system that allows a prosecutor to behave like this. He is testifying before Congress about his prosecution of the January 6th defendants and refusing to discuss a case that he has won, based on the argument that he cannot discuss ongoing investigations.

What investigation? The case is over.

I never have seen the January 6th riot as an insurrection, because that is the most ridiculous argument that I have heard since listening to Adam Schiff speak.

It is that stupid in my view.

It was a riot. It was wrong. I am appalled that my fellow conservatives would behave that way; rioting is the tool of the Left, as is taking over government buildings.

With that said, the Establishment’s reaction to January 6th has been lawless, vile, and tyrannical. People have been put in solitary confinement for months or longer. They have been psychologically tortured, and their lives have been ruined for behavior that is actively encouraged when done by Leftist terrorists.

All this is going on when things like this are happening all around the country:

Now a US Attorney can go before Congress and refuse to answer why he is requesting a 14-year sentence for a 70-year-old man who never entered the capitol.

He is doing so claiming he is barred from revealing why he is doing so because the investigation is active. This is a lie.

How do I know it is a lie? First, the investigation is over. He won the case.

Second, he is asking the court to impose this sentence. Presumably, he has to explain to the court why this extraordinary sentence is warranted.

If a child rapist gets 8 months in jail, what justifies putting an old man in jail for 14 years for the crime of being outside the capitol on January 6th?

Half of America seems fine with this level of corruption in our legal system, as long as the right people are being oppressed. Tens of thousands of people engaged in terrorism that included violence, burning down vast swathes of cities, and an ongoing crime wave leading to hundreds of murders up until today.

The Elite shrug. But a 70-year-old man engages in a protest? 14 years in prison.

America. Land of the free.
