The Left invented a "Day of Hate" to condemn it

By now you have to assume, absent any other evidence, that any hate crime or hate speech is a hoax perpetrated by the Left.

I’m not saying that there aren’t White Supremacists out there. Undoubtedly in a country of over 300 million people, you will find examples of anything.

But as Glenn Reynolds likes to say, the demand for hate crimes far exceeds the supply, so there are a lot of fakes. And, like the fakes you encounter on the streets of most major American cities, they are actually pretty easy to distinguish if you spend 30 seconds looking for the misspelled logos and poor stitching on the purses.

I should have done that with the Movado watch I bought for $9.99 on the streets of Washington D.C. Live and learn.

The latest hate hoax the Left tried to shove down our throats was the so-called “Day of Hate” that the Right Wingers supposedly called for to occur last Saturday.

As a certified Right Winger™ and a terminally online person I was shocked to discover such a day had occurred. The only evidence of it, of course, was Left Wingers denouncing it and demanding that everybody else do so too, lest we be passively endorsing it.

Left-wingers and the MSM, but I repeat myself.

Now I am not one to deny that there are roving bands of noose-carrying and bleach-throwing Nazis roaming Chicago’s streets looking for gay black actors to attack in -30 weather as they walk home from Subway. At least not without compelling evidence. So I took this Day of Hate talk very seriously, as I would a NASCAR driver finding nooses on his garage door.

But I honestly failed to find an increase in hate on Twitter or elsewhere on Saturday.

Not that there wasn’t plenty of hate to find. We are talking about Twitter, after all. My own Twitter profile (@davidstrom) jokes “I try to be nice on Twitter, but I think that violates the Terms of Service.” Twitter is a cesspool of hate from every ideological corner.

But an increase? On Twitter, Facebook, or anywhere else? Called for by leaders of the Right?

A total invention, but as you can see the MSM picked up the ball and ran with it.

Matt Walsh had a bit of fun with the whole fake phenomenon, although the point behind it is real enough. After all, the FBI tried to label parents objecting to their children getting raped “domestic terrorists.”

One of the reasons why the Left does this sort of hoax is that it puts a lot of conservatives on their back foot. Nobody likes to be called nasty names or be canceled, so the idea is to keep us walking on eggshells.

Not gonna happen. Only Establishment righties respond to any of this any more.

It wasn’t just Left-twitter spreading the lies. It was a coordinated bit of propaganda that apparently the MSM picked up on in order to smear anybody they don’t like.

As you saw above, CBS ran with it, and this “award-winning multimedia journalist with bylines in many media outlets used the lie to attack Libs of TikTok, because he could.

The absolute indifference to the truth still surprises me, although I preach every day about what liars the Establishment is. I guess it is how brazen they are that still surprises me.

Is there a single person who believed Jussie Smollett? I doubt it. The fraud was so obvious that no rational person could have taken it seriously, but we were sold a line about it for months until the story unraveled. No matter how brazen the Left was in the past, expect them to get even worse.

One of the things I admire about Ron DeSantis is his novel approach to the media: he simply refuses to talk to liars. The media barely pretends anymore, so why should any of us?
