The perfect metaphor for Davos WEF meeting

I saw this headline from The Daily Mail and I laughed out loud.

Why? I misread it at first. I thought they were referring to all the hangers-on and parasite Elite types who profit off ruining everybody’s lies.

I mean, really, isn’t this a perfect description of the World Economic Forum get-together?

Prostitutes gather in Davos for annual meeting of global elite

Sounds about right. A few hundred Masters of the Universe, surrounded by a bunch of high-dollar prostitutes with their hands out for subsidies, preferential regulations, favorable laws and rulings, investments, and of course reflected prestige. Politicians, CEOs, investors, regulators, intellectuals, actors…all prostituting themselves.

Unfortunately, the story was simply about the gathering of sex workers hoping to make a quick buck, instead of the far less savory group of prostitutes who attend the meetings themselves.

The global elite tackling the world’s greatest problems – including gender inequality -at the Davos summit are fuelling a surge in prostitution in the Swiss resort town.

Demand for sex work skyrockets each year at the meeting of world leaders and business tycoons who jet in from all around the world to rub shoulders with each other.

Escorts are booked into the same hotels as high-powered bosses and their employees during the five-day summit, which started on January 16.

One sex worker named Liana said she dresses in business attire so she doesn’t stand out among the executives, despite prostitution being legal in Switzerland.

Apparently both kinds of prostitutes–the sex workers and the more disgusting ones hoping to pillage our economies and societies through selling their souls–like to wear business attire to fit in with the Klaus Schwabs and Bill Gates’ of the world. Although if you are at the very top of the food chain you get to wear Hunger Games-style outfits such as those worn by Schwab and, this year, Idris Elbe who got an award for…something or another, I guess.

Being suave? Elbe is suave, good looking, and has a great accent. And is apparently really award-worthy for saving the world I guess.

Actually, it’s much simpler than that. Elbe is lending his charm to a charmless group, just as sex workers lend their bodies to their clients. Each gets something out of the deal.

Ol’ Klaus opened the WEF meeting with a clarion call to “master the future,” which gives the lie to the idea that skeptics of the WEF are engaged in a “conspiracy theory.”

It is neither a conspiracy, exactly, nor a theory. The ‘conspiracy” is out in the open, and it is a fact, not a theory. People attending the World Economic Forum really are trying to “master the future,” are very open about their ideas and their methods (most of the time), and are proud of what they are doing.

It really is no secret. I have seen people scoff at the idea that anybody is pushing a “Great Reset,” but the fact is that Klaus actually wrote a rather shallow book about it and the WEF exists to achieve it. They think it is a good thing, just as Lenin made no secret of his plans. Most great tyrants are open about their plans; it’s just that it takes a visionary to believe that anybody could be so evil. That is why Churchill was scoffed at until Poland was invaded. Nobody could believe Hitler really was that bad.

The reason why we get pushback about our criticisms of the WEF is that what the Elites say out loud is just so absurd and evil that people only vaguely paying attention think that nobody could possibly be this evil. Making people eat bugs? Can’t be. “You will own nothing, have no privacy, and be happy?” Absurd.

The thing is that shilling for the Elite is a very good gig, and if you are good at it you can not only make bank but become a member yourself. Bill and Hillary, for instance, were hicks from Arkansas and climbed all the way to the top, despite being rather unpleasant people. But even without the luck of the Clintons, serving as a flak for these people is a good gig.

Not all prostitutes become Madams, but the pay can be quite good.

That’s why the WEF invests heavily in a Young Global Leaders program–recruiting from the ranks of the politically ambitious–which
BusinessWeek’s Bruce Nussbaum describes as “the most exclusive private social network in the world,” whose alums are scattered in all corners of governments and corporations around the world. All major Western governments are peppered with alums.

The WEF is clearly the place to be if you are a high-priced prostitute. Whether selling your body or your soul, the highest rollers gather there to purchase your wares.
