It’s a big bag of blah on the Sunday shows this morning unless the Zimmerman jury has delivered its verdict. (They’re still deliberating as I write this on Saturday.) “Meet the Press” has Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell on to bicker about the filibuster, “Fox News Sunday” has Steve King and Mike McCaul to describe the state of play in the House on immigration, and “State of the Union” has Rick Perry to celebrate Texas’s new ban on late-term abortions and chat about 2016. All of that gets bumped to later in the hour if there’s Zimmerman fallout. Verdict or no, the panel discussions should be filled with trial blather, most of which will be perfectly predictable along partisan lines and therefore simultaneously boring and enraging.
