Amnesty UK Making a Lot of the Correct Sort of Enemies

Amnesty International

It might take a while for these holier-than-thou, former crusaders for the betterment of all mankind organizations to go off the rails, and dent their brass haloes, but it does inevitably happen.

Inevitably.

The stench arrives long before the public actually gets to see the putrification behind the glistening, sacred walls, though.

Much like our Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) here existed on reputation and the secure feeling that comes from being so deeply ingrained in the public consciousness as a moral voice for good and right. Even as they slipped ever further into targeting organizations and individuals not for physical sins committed, but for thought crimes only because their worldviews ran annoyingly counter to the SPLC's. The SPLC used the power, influence, and fortune they'd accrued to crush voices who might make it harder for them to gather more instead of legitimately fighting 'evildoers.'

And then they were exposed for the party-hardy, sex-mad, manipulative power-mad frauds they had been for decades.

The crash-and-burn has been both spectacular and utterly delightful.

On the international stage, two sainted players with dented holy donuts orbiting above their heads spring to mind. The United Nations, in all its corrupt iterations, keeps finding itself caught with its blue panties down, especially its awfully well-funded, terrorist hugging auxiliary arms.

...The UN is only now acknowledging what’s long been obvious: Hamas has spent years stealing aid, intimidating NGO staff, and terrorizing civilians across Gaza. The scale of wasted billions and needless deaths caused by the group’s brutality during and after the war is staggering. Anyone who tried to expose this was smeared as “promoting genocide” or being a “Zionist collaborator,” even when the evidence was undeniable. Countless activists, advocates, journalists, academics, and politicians all played their part in enabling Hamas’s con intended to deepen Gazans’ suffering. Shame on every one of them. Thank you, @UNSCO_MEPP

The only things repeatedly pulling those tattered undies up are the corrupt bureaucracy empowered by the nations behind the UN symbol.

Once that all collapses - and it looks horribly shaky at the moment, but who knows - the world will shudder and be a better place.

The other is Amnesty International, which once upon a time did fearless things for people in fearful spots, championing human rights across the globe in some of the worst places on that orb, to the faces of the absolute worst people to have ever walked upon it.

Not so much now.

The chapter in the United Kingdom, Amnesty UK, felt it incumbent upon themselves to scribble up a little report, very reminiscent of the SPLC's 'Hate Map,' with a list of the worst groups in the UK:

'A Growing Threat: The Anti-Rights Movement in the UK'

Sounds serious right? With everything going on, I can think of several people off the top of my head, starting with the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, his Energy Secretary Ed Miliband - and a host of Labor government ministers and Metropolitan police officials who should top that list.

Fascist to the core and bent on stripping what few 'rights' the British have left as every hour ticks by.

But that isn't what the list/report is about. Amnesty can't be bothered defending regular British knuckledraggers.

EW

They're mad that transgender people are not allowed into any space they want to waltz into now, and they have whipped up a report targeting groups who banded together in the recent court case, as well as other groups and individuals who supported the plaintiffs, that finally affirmed what a woman is.

If you are at all 'gender critical' (IOW not a pink flag-waving trans-rights fan) in the UK, you wound up on the Amnesty 'Anti-Rights Movement' list.

If you are J.K. Rowling sponsoring a 'women-only' sexual abuse survivors' center, you made the list because you would not allow men in dresses in the door.

Last week, the human rights charity released a report titled A Growing Threat: The Anti-Rights Movement in the UK, which listed a number of organisations it claimed harmed women’s and LGBTQ+ rights in the country.

“Women-only” Beira’s Place, founded by the Harry Potter author in 2022, was set up to “provide practical and emotional help to women in a safe and supportive environment”. It operates “in accordance with the Equality Act 2010”, which ruled the legal definition of sex was biological sex only.

In Amnesty International UK’s now-removed list, it looked at what it called “anti-rights actors”, which it said were “formal or informal groups, individuals, private and state actors whose aim is to restrict human rights by undermining human rights protections in law and practice”.

If you are the LGB Alliance (no superfluous consonants or plus signs)...

We promote the rights of lesbians, bisexuals & gay men, as recognised by biological sex. #SexNotGender.

...you made the list.

If you are Genspect, a much respected international organization...

An international alliance promoting a non-medicalised approach to sex & gender. @StatsforGender & @BeyondTransHelp are operated by Genspect. http://Genspect.org

...you made the list.

...We have requested the withdrawal of these claims and a full explanation of the evidence relied upon.

The Gay Men's Network took their inclusion on 'the list' with righteous umbrage, in the 'Who the hell do these people think they are?!' vein.

It's great.

Although the organization just as quickly and cravenly pulled its little list of shame, Amnesty managed to hack off longtime, high-profile donors with this stunt.

...However the list was removed from the charity’s website after it attracted criticism from people including tennis star Martina Navratilova and Monty Python’s John Cleese, who said on X: “I was once a major fund-raiser for Amnesty. But in those days it was about preventing torture. Not about sexual identity. I disown them.”

JK Rowling shared a screenshot of a page from the Amnesty International UK website which had previously hosted the report. Rowling’s post read: “Translation: oops, didn’t realise people outside our ideological bubble are this p***** off about the loss of sex-based rights. We remain implacably opposed to any organisation fighting to retain them, but shove in the words ‘rights of women’ to keep the bigots happy.”

She also said: “It appears that (as many of us have suspected for years) Amnesty believes certain kinds of humans don’t deserve rights: women, girls and those who are proudly same-sex attracted. I hope donors from those groups are taking note.”

Even women who belong to the risible Labour Party itself are fuming over Amnesty's scurrilous attacks and blasted them in a letter they then posted for all to see.

...This latter accusation is particularly egregious given the govt's recent publication of a badly drafted CP Ban Bill which would criminalise the concerns of parents & feminists like ourselves who oppose the harms to young people of puberty blockers & "gender affirming" care. Along with @LesbianLabour & @LabourLGB, we are socialists & feminists who reject the sexist stereotypes of the gender identity politics which has, sadly, crept into much of the left & parts of the @UKLabour party. All polling shows we reflect the views of the majority of Labour members & voters - and, probably, of Amnesty supporters too. We await with interest Amnesty's prompt reply to our letter...

Trans activists are spamming the comments of many of these postings, but it's not going so well for them, because support for their insidious, deviant ideology is shrinking fast.

More and more Britons are less and less afraid to speak up and tell these authoritarian freaks exactly what they think, and in all the letters from outraged groups and individuals written to Amnesty UK that J.K. Rowling has rexweeted on her X profile page, four words are showing up repeatedly in the correspondence that should give anyone knowing Britain's libel laws pause:

Libelous, defamatory, retraction, apology

Amnesty has come a long way...downhill. From rescuing partisans from fascist torture chambers during the Spanish Civil War to now advocating for torturing confused little girls by either allowing little Mengeles to dissect their young bodies, or subjecting their young selves to male dangly bits in what should be women-only spaces. Vice versa for little guys.

Inevitable hubris explosion.
