The Taliban Have a Brussels Invite to Discuss Repatriating Some of Their Finer Citizens

I think Gad Saad has called this 'suicidal empathy' in his latest book.

Instead of negotiating with these murderous, Stone Age savages in a Turkish or Azerbajani hut somewhere about returning their criminally inclined ex-pats, the unelected Empress of Europe, European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen, is said to be considering inviting a delegation to come visit her and the rest of the Brahmins in Brussels itself.

Unbelievable.

...The latest version of the EU migration and asylum pact, expected to become operational on 12 June, includes the building of offshore processing centres and third-country deportation hubs, and gives governments expanded detention powers – including the right to detain children – and the authority to fast-track removals.

The new deportation rules will enable what more than 80 human rights organisations call “ICE-style” detection, raids, detention and offshore return practices across Europe. Mélissa Camara, a Green MEP, quite rightly calls the pact a “legal arsenal serving a xenophobic ideology”. Undeterred by the critics, however, the European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen keeps partnering with strongmen and authoritarian governments. The EU is in effect paying them to keep out unwanted migrants.

The unsavoury circle with which the EU is prepared to do business has now widened to include the Taliban. For the first time, the EU Commission’s home affairs directorate is preparing to host talks in Brussels with a delegation of Taliban representatives from Afghanistan. Against warnings that the invitation risks legitimising a regime the EU does not even formally recognise, officials insist that the discussions are merely “technical”, and that it is important to maintain contact with the Taliban on aid delivery and women’s rights.

But these talks are not about the sweeping restrictions on women’s rights, including bans on secondary and higher education for girls and women, limits on women’s employment and restrictions on access to public spaces that the Taliban have imposed since returning to power in August 2021. They are about forcibly deporting asylum seekers whose claims to protection in Europe have been rejected – deportation to a country where returnees face arbitrary arrest, detention and torture, and which is in the midst of a food crisis.

And while the author of this article and I are miles apart politically, on this we are agreed - the Taliban are an international pariah and need to stay that way until they change.

A royal welcome, whatever the cheesy excuses Von der Leyen cooks up for allowing them to set foot in the EU capital as invited guests notwithstanding.

The Taliban has already gotten €162 million from the EU this year in aid that supposedly bypassed the regime and went into the hands of 'strictly monitored non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and UN agencies.'

The EU has been funding humanitarian operations in Afghanistan since 1994, providing some €2.1 billion in humanitarian funding.

Given the scale of humanitarian needs, the EU’s priority is to:

  • provide lifesaving assistance
  • ensure access to basic services
  • build the resilience of the population to crises

In 2025, the EU has allocated over €161 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. For 2026, the initial allocation is €162 so far.

This funding is channelled through vetted EU partner organisations, such as UN agencies, international organisations and NGOs, who provide critical relief assistance to the most vulnerable. Interventions focus on:

'Vetted partners' that include NGOs and the UN - oh, that never goes wrong. All perfectly trustworthy.

Use that financial leverage, hello.

The United States is part and parcel of that NGO one-hand-washing-the-other mob circle, and Congressmen like Tim Burchett have been trying to turn the dollar spigot off for almost two years.

...I recently hosted a guest on my podcast who goes by the name of “Legend” to talk about these payments. He is an Afghan American and former U.S. Army noncommissioned officer who has deployed to Afghanistan multiple times, and who traveled to Kabul during the Afghanistan withdrawal to rescue individuals left behind. He was introduced to me by Shawn Ryan, a popular podcast host and former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor.

Legend confirmed: “Yes, the money does end up feeding and supporting the Taliban.” He explained that the United Nations flies the cash from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to the Taliban-controlled Afghanistan Central Bank which is managed by a terrorist who is on an active U.S. sanctions list. That bank then holds an “auction” where groups bid to take those dollars and convert it to the local currency. Every week the winner of that auction is someone associated with the Haqqani Network, a terror group with ties to Al-Qaeda.

These terrorists take the money and convert it to Afghani to distribute. Some of that money stays with the Haqqani Network, some goes to the terrorists running the bank, and the rest of the money is given to the local implementing parties or non-government organizations (NGOs).

However, the Taliban is the group handing out NGO licenses in Afghanistan. If a Taliban sympathizer asks for an NGO license, they get it. So, many of these groups send money directly to the Taliban or to support the families of suicide bombers.

Legend also said if the United States suspended these weekly payments, we would see signs of the Taliban and other Afghanistan-based terror groups crumbling within a year. The $40 million weekly cash shipments have stabilized the Afghani, making the Taliban’s newly printed currency the world’s best performer, beating the U.S. dollar in September 2023.

Burchett confronted Senate Majority Leader John Thune earlier about his bill to defund the Taliban, which the House passed almost a year ago.

Thune's astonishing answer?

WHUT BILL? HAVEN'T READ IT

Burchett explained, in a quick, simple primer, how these 'vetted' NGOs launder the money that ends up in Taliban coffers.

The money that makes this living hell on Earth possible.

...More than half a million jobs have reportedly been lost, while Afghanistan faces soaring poverty, malnutrition, and growing international isolation under Taliban rule.

And the Brussels Brahmins plan on having them over for tea.

'Technical issues,' you see.

What a propaganda coup those pictures of the visit will be.
