WOOF
These female blue-state governors are certainly something else; 'intellectuals' are not among them.
While one can say the blue harpy sisterhood is all singing from the same sheet of crazy, discordant music to lyrics written by obvious socialists, it's the kindergarten version.
And even then, they can't keep the chorus straight.
Take the current popular rallying cry among them - ICE OUT.
In the same shape, form, or fashion, they have all demonized the federal response as 'over the top,' cruel, inhumane, blahblahblah, and waved their magic executive action wands to pretend they could erect some sort of barrier to keep federal law enforcement from going about their legal duties in the confines of their particular fiefdom.
One of Abigail Spanberger's first acts in Virginia was an anti-ICE edict, complete with resistance rhetoric establishing her TDS bonofides.
Spanberger immediately rolled back a policy requiring state & local officials cooperate with ICE (which allows safer immigration enforcement and recognizes federal supremacy over immigration policy), appointed a "DEI director" who cheered on "dismantling" the Constitution, put… https://t.co/jGFDkqs6CX

Healey, always a step or two behind the power curve, only thought to follow suit in Massachusetts this past Wednesday.
You GO, girl!
If Massachusetts were a Monopoly board, Governor Maura Healey just slapped down a fresh rule card: Federal agents, do not pass Go.
Healey on Wednesday filed a sweeping bill that would carve out large parts of everyday life — schools, hospitals, churches, and courthouses — as official ICE-free zones, sharply limiting where U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement can operate in the Bay State without a judge’s approval.
Under the proposal, ICE agents would be required to obtain a judicial warrant before making civil immigration arrests in so-called “sensitive locations,” effectively placing some of the most common public spaces off-limits to routine federal enforcement.
Healey has repeatedly insisted that Massachusetts is not a sanctuary state — a line her administration continues to lean on even as some of the state’s largest cities tell a very different story. Boston, along with several other municipalities, already operates as a sanctuary city, limiting cooperation with federal immigration enforcement and declining to honor ICE detainer requests. Critics argue that Healey’s new ICE-free zones bill only deepens that contradiction, turning what is officially denied at the state level into policy in practice.
Healey framed the move as a moral necessity, arguing that immigration enforcement has created fear and discouraged people from sending their kids to school, seeking medical care, or showing up to court. Supporters praised the bill as compassionate and protective. Critics blasted it as sanctuary policy on steroids
So stunning and brave.
Massachusetts is protective! Massachusetts is compassionate! Massachusetts is safe for illegals!
Massachusetts is a...DON'T YOU DARE SAY 'SANCTUARY STATE.'
Wait. Whut?
Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey (D) claims that her state is "NOT" a sanctuary state despite cities like Boston reportedly DENYING 100% of ICE detainer requests last year.

..."Massachusetts is not a sanctuary state... People can buy in and continue with the absolute bullsh*t rhetoric out of the Trump administration on this."
Democrats just love lying to your face.
(Girl's lookin' a leetle rough there, too, no?)
So defensive.
Forgive me for being confused, Governor, but up is up, down is down, and attempting to bar the feds from any lawful activities in your state while dentying them access to criminals they've legally issued detainers for...well.
Pretty 'sanctuary-ish' to me.

Oh, stop stop stop.
Maura Healey says calling Massachusetts a sanctuary for illegal immigrants is “bullshit.” Well, I’m calling bullshit on her. #mapoli #magov pic.twitter.com/sKaNC9tTHr

Supporting is not the same as being - especially if the Bad Orange Man is going to cut your money off.
And Gov Maura has spent a buttload of lucre on illegals.
Migrant influx pushing Mass. shelter costs past $1B in FY25: report
Massachusetts taxpayers are forking out around $1,000 per person per week under the program
Massachusetts taxpayers are on course to spend $1 billion on the state’s emergency shelter program for FY25 with migrant families making up a significant share of those receiving assistance, according to a new report.
Gov. Maura Healey’s administration has already spent $830 million so far in FY25 – which started on July 1 – accommodating more than 4,000 families who have been receiving taxpayer-funded shelter, food, education, legal aid and case management.
The costs work out at about $3,496 per week per family, or around $1,000 per person per week for the program, known as the Emergency Assistance (EA) system.
Naturally, she can't afford to get in a semantics pissing match with the Trump administration and risk losing whatever she can get out of the feds.
All those funds aren't doing anything for the legal residents of the state.
...It doesn’t take long to see that towns like Stoughton, which are housing migrant families, are at the heart of the issue. In the past year, Stoughton raised its budget by 7% to meet rising costs, while also being directed by the Healey-Driscoll Administration to house 237 migrant families. However, this 7% increase does little to address the additional expenses, including accommodating 162 new students who now require bus services. Despite this, the school district was forced to eliminate one of its existing buses. According to state law, migrant students must be provided with transportation, even as 150 existing students are left without bus services. Beyond transportation, English language and mental health services are being overwhelmed, not just in Stoughton, but also in towns like Hanover and Brookline.
But who cares! (And you'll notice the obviously confused author of this article calls MA a 'sanctuary state.')
A former Massachusetts shelter director-turned-whistleblower is calling the sentencing of yet another illegal alien for raping a child at a taxpayer-funded shelter further evidence of a “total government failure” in the sanctuary state.
Haitian illegal allien Cory Alvarez, 27, was found guilty of aggravated rape of a child at a migrant shelter in Rockland, Massachusetts, and sentenced to 10 to 12 years in prison, according to NBC 10 Boston.
...In response, Fetherston, who ran a similar migrant shelter in Marlborough, Massachusetts, from 2023 to 2024, said Alvarez’s sentencing “exposes a much bigger problem.”
“Call it what you will, but this is total government failure,” he said. “You have documented cases now of these girls being assaulted in shelters run with taxpayer dollars. No one at the top, including Governor Maura Healey, is taking any of the responsibility.”
Maura doesn't, but don't confuse her with details about who a governor is supposed to care for.
She keeps claiming that they are not a Sanctuary for illegals but she does everything to protect them.

If there's only one thing that comes to mind when someone mentions 'Massachusetts,' remember the power of positive thinking.
NOT A SANCTUARY STATE!
If a progressive says it enough times, that makes it true.
No one is ever confused about that.
