Wait - CNN Says What About That Guy in Bukele's Prison?

Holy smokes. They must really be trying to convince us they love America.

I'm still not falling for it, but this is as good a shot as they'll probably ever take without spontaneously combusting on camera.

Where the weepy Washington Post has this for a headline over the sad saga of Abrego Garcia:

The deportation standoff sending the U.S. toward a constitutional crisis

CNN's legal beagle, Paula Reid, was on Jake Tapper's show and went totally against the narrative when she basically said, 'Nope. 'S'all good.'

..."They did NOT order the administration to return him to the United States. They said that they need to facilitate his return. They could have said 'we order him returned,' but they didn't do that."

@StephenM and @MarcoRubio said this yesterday in the Oval Office, and so did AG Bondi.

"The Supreme Court appeared to defer to the executive branch given that this is an international matter, and you see, yes, it does look a little bit like a semantic game, but they are playing within the bounds of what the Supreme Court ruled."

"So no, they are not defying this order."

How 'bout them apples?

Caroline Leavitt leveled a reporter this afternoon over Garcia.

Oooh, how they do love the 20 side of that 80/20 divide.

And the Trump administration just put the exclamation point on the 'if they should release him for some reason, he's only going to get sent right back' attempts by blowhard liberal senators, media, and the cohort of bleeding hearts fretting over the Constitutionality of returning an illegal, MS-13 gang member El Salvadoran to *checks notes* El Salvador, whatever the accommodations mix-up.

Contrary to all the public posturing of the usual subjects, this doesn't seem to be taking a toll on President Trump's popularity, not that he'd care if it did.

But it is kind of amazing how well he seems to be doing with the class of folks he's most supposed to be terrifying in one recent poll.

The whole thing is kind of weird if you juxtapose the frantic progressive and Democratic rhetoric next to actual Hispanic sentiment.

President Trump’s job approval rating has surged to its highest number since he was inaugurated in January.

Currently, Trump’s job approval rating sits at 54 percent, with only 46 percent disapproving. This ties his all-time high this year (in this poll) and is a five-point boost in approval since late March.

This poll of 1,002 registered voters was taken between April 10-14, the days during the so-called stock market turmoil after the president instituted the tariff increases he ran on, which appear to have brought dozens of countries to the negotiating table.

“For all the events of the past ten days, we find the President’s approval rating unchanged and now at its joint highest ever,” pollster James Johnson told the Daily Mail.

“Among the noise and criticism, there does seem to be a simple truth,” Johnson added: “The more coverage there is of Trump’s changes, the more voters reward him for what they see as the pace and purpose that many of them voted for.”

The DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners poll also found that 64 percent of those aged 18 to 29 approve of the job Trump is doing. Those over 65 approve at 54 percent. The 30-49 and 50 to 64 age groups approve at 52 percent and 51 percent, respectively.

Hispanics approve of the Deporter-in-Chief with a margin of 46 percent to 43 percent.

Isn't that funny?

Almost as if the MSM's spazzing, daily hyperventilating is backfiring on them at long last. 'The more coverage there is of Trump's changes,' MSM is shocked, SHOCKED to find people going 'I voted for this' with approval.

Don't anyone let on that what they're doing isn't working, though.

So far, so good.

I voted for this, too. And I like the way it's going.
