Blinken, as representative of their closest ally, is publicly undercutting the Israelis on the world stage. Equating the prosecution of a war no one asked for and the Israelis didn't start to the butchering animals who did.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warns that Israel risks becoming indistinguishable from Hamas if it continues to fail to protect civilians amid the Gaza war.
“What happened after October 7 could have ended immediately if Hamas had stopped hiding behind civilians, released the hostages and put down its weapons, but Israel is not Hamas. Israel is a democracy; Hamas, a terrorist organization. Democracies place the highest value on human life, every human life. As it has been said, whoever saves a life, saves the entire world,” Blinken says during a press conference in Brussels, quoting a Jewish proverb.
“That’s our strength. It’s what distinguishes us from terrorists like Hamas. If we lose that reverence for human life, we risk becoming indistinguishable from those we confront.”
I feel badly for the folks in the relief convoy, too.

Always delivered without one word of opprobrium or condemnation for the barbarians who tortured, murdered, and took them to begin with. Who holds them to this day - however many still survive - and who have rebuffed every single effort at a ceasefire the Israelis have offered, even when the exchange numbers have been stacked in Hamas' favor or Israel has outright released Palestinian detainees.

And that's just for starters.
But I don't expect Blinken to be concerned about the fact that any of the hostages are American. The Biden administration has proven repeatedly that any American taken hostage anywhere in the world, be the circumstances ever so foul, has no hope of seeing any help from them diplomatically or in any rescue attempt unless they're a person of color or LGBT whatever (They'll work to get you out twice as quickly if you're both - it's like a victimhood brass ring.).

This has become a political issue for Biden/Dems - pandering more and more to left for votes - & since Israel still needs USA to a degree, time isn't on Israel's side.
