The ruling on immunity set her hair on fire. It's an assault on democracy, I tell you.

Today’s ruling represents an assault on American democracy. It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture.
I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return.
It's a little hissy fit on X. She rants that SCOTUS ruled as she did not wish them to do. Them's the breaks. Sandy from the Bronx is a sore loser. The ironic thing here is that she isn't really a loser in the immunity decision.
Sure, the ruling is about 90% good news for former President Trump, according to most legal scholars, but AOC and other Democrats are acting like spoiled brats.

Trump, of whom he spoke, was never charged with treason or insurrection.
I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure they won't be impeached for upholding the Constitution.
Does she not realize that the immunity ruling benefits Democrats equally with Republicans? This means that Joe Biden doesn't have to worry about prosecution over the open southern border when he leaves office, nor does DHS Secretary Mayorkas. Maybe she doesn't understand that. She's a far-left partisan who only sees what is in front of her on most issues.
The real threats to our democracy (our constitutional republic) are the Democrats who have been trying to delegitimize the Supreme Court for more than four years. They are angry that Trump was able to nominate three justices and they were confirmed. For the first time in my lifetime, the Supreme Court leans conservative. It rules according to the constitution. How refreshing.
Democrats only respect the Supreme Court when it rules their way. So, they want to expand the court to include a larger number of justices. They want to get back to a liberal-leaning Supreme Court and that is how they want to do it. Time is running out and they are irritated. Biden is not likely to win in November and Trump will not pull such shenanigans.
The Supreme Court is independent from Congress but Democrats are trying to micromanage it. It seems to me that activist Democrat lawmakers are the real threats to democracy.
Chuckie Schumer talks about incitement but what about when he threatened justices at a rally outside the Supreme Court in 2020 as an abortion case was being heard? He spoke into a bullhorn to be heard. "You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price," It was so heinous that Chief Justice Roberts publicly chastised Schumer.
Conservative justices are being harassed by protesters outside of their homes. Justice Kavanaugh was the target of an assassination attempt by a deranged man who drove across the country. Democrats are out of control.
Democrats are trying to normalize lawfare against political opponents, including in presidential races. This can't continue. The only solution is to vote for a new president in November who will appoint Constitution-abiding judges and justices on the bench.
The Supreme Court is bitterly divided on the ruling. Justice Sotomayor wrote in her dissent that presidents are now enabled to assassinate political rivals without fear of criminal prosecution.
Sotomayor, joined by fellow liberal Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson, argued that the decision created a "law-free zone around the President."
"When he uses his official powers in any way, under the majority's reasoning, he now will be insulated from criminal prosecution," Sotomayor wrote. "Orders the Navy's Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival? Immune. Organizes a military coup to hold onto power? Immune. Takes a bribe in exchange for a pardon? Immune. Immune, immune, immune."
"Even if these nightmare scenarios never play out, and I pray they never do, the damage has been done," she continued. "The relationship between the President and the people he serves has shifted irrevocably. In every use of official power, the President is now a king above the law."
Hyperbole, much? This is where we are. You'll see plenty of political hysteria by pundits who draw a salary for criticizing Trump, which is what this is all about. They know that Trump may be back in office next January and they have to create as many clown shows as possible before that happens.
