Border Chiefs Warned Homeland Security Committee About CCP Spies Crossing the Border

The warnings have been issued for months. More than 24,000 illegal Chinese immigrants crossed the southern border in 2023, compared to 342 in 2021. They are the fastest-growing illegal entrants into the United States.

Yet, here we are. Nothing has changed along the southern border. There are thousands of illegal immigrants pouring into the United States every day. "We cannot vet them all." That was the chilling confession from the Border Patrol chief to Congress.

Border Patrol agents are overwhelmed by Chinese illegal immigrants crossing the southern border. The warning has been sent to Congress that they may be Communist spies. Some have been found to have links to the CCP and its affiliated People's Liberation Army (PLA). Border Patrol chiefs are worried that more are coming in unvetted.

Chief Patrol Agent Anthony Good, of the Border Patrol’s El Paso Sector, told the Homeland Security Committee during a private hearing in September last year that his agents were 'trying their best to figure out why [individuals from other continents are] coming' but that 'information can be hidden' and 'their agendas, their ideologies, the reason for them coming could be missed'.

Gloria Chavez, chief patrol agent for the Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Valley Sector, also told the Committee in June that the massive surge in Chinese migrants had forced her agents to enlist a translation service, with each Chinese national taking up to seven hours to interview.

Chairman Mark Green said the surge in Chinese illegal immigrants is a "massive" national security risk. The illegals are being released into the interior of the United States. He blames DHS Secretary Mayorkas for sending a clear message that the southern border is wide open. Some may have a legit reason to seek asylum from the brutal Communist dictatorship but Border Patrol can't properly vet them all at the rate they are coming in. China does not allow access to law enforcement databases.

'My Committee has been informed that some of these Chinese nationals have even been found to be affiliated with the People’s Liberation Army and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)—and those are just the ones we’ve been able to vet.

'As the CCP works to undermine and infiltrate our institutions and even military installations, Secretary Mayorkas has made it clear to the entire world that our borders are open.

Immigration experts don't think that China is sending spies through illegal immigration. They say that Xi Jinping would probably use a more direct route like work visas, which has been done in the past. Many Chinese citizens have links to the CCP and the PLA. It doesn't mean they are spies.

U.S. government data shows that more illegal Chinese immigrants were granted asylum in the past three years than any other nationality. This raises concerns that it is an incentive for more to come.

But immigration experts have said they thought it unlikely that the CCP would send in agents in this manner, suggesting Xi Jinping would prefer a more direct route using work visas - as has been the case in the past.

Links to the CCP and PLA are common among Chinese citizens and does not necessarily mean they are operating as spies.

Meanwhile, startling US government data has revealed that more illegal Chinese migrants were granted asylum in the over the past three years than any other nationality, raising concerns that more will be encouraged to follow.

China refuses to repatriate its citizens who are denied asylum. The United States doesn't have power in this situation. Sometimes the CCP denies the asylum-seekers are Chinese.

Between the high rate of Chinese illegals successfully claiming asylum and Beijing's refusal to take them back, they see a green light to come to the United States by taking a chance at the southern border.

A record number of illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border since October 2023. On Sunday, DHS Secretary Mayorkas accepted no responsibility for the Biden border catastrophe. He blames Congress and the broken system.

Mayorkas - who was nearly impeached last week in a 214-216 vote - was pressed on his handling of the border on Meet the Press on Sunday, saying: 'It certainly is a crisis, and, well, we don’t bear responsibility for a broken system. And we’re doing a tremendous amount within that broken system.'

He added: 'Fundamentally, fundamentally, Congress is the only one who can fix it.'

Mayorkas also dismissed Republicans' failed attempts to impeach him over his handling of the border crisis as 'baseless allegations' claiming 'I am really not distracted by them.'

Sure. Why would he be distracted? That would imply he was doing something to be distracted from and we know he isn't doing his job. Biden wants the southern border to be open and it is. All Mayorkas has to do is sit back and watch.

Biden can close the southern border right now. He knows it. He chooses to ignore the crisis of his own making. Why worry about who is getting into the country without proper vetting?
