As if the Biden administration didn’t already have enough problems retaining young people, particularly the progressives who are outraged over his pro-Israel stance, there is now a video which seems likely to further exacerbate that divide. The clip features a couple of pro-Palestinian activists from the group Nevadans for Palestinian Liberation who had RSVPd for a Kamala Harris event over the weekend only to be told at the door that they had been disinvited. As you’ll see, the activists immediately jumped to the conclusion that they were being disinvited because they were both wearing hijabs. The person who is manning the door apologizes but doesn’t offer any other explanation.
🧵 On Saturday, January 27th at the @KamalaHarris "Get The Vote Out" event in Las Vegas, two visible members of the Muslim community wearing hijabs were not let in by campaign officials.
The Biden/Harris campaign is clearly fanning the flames of Islamophobia. pic.twitter.com/FOhSyHOm1I

The clip above ends just as the two activists have started accusing a black woman, who is apparently an organizer of the event, of being racist for not letting them in. As you can see in the follow-up clip below, when that doesn’t work they start accusing a bearded man in a suit of being racist.
As you can clearly see in the video, these women were "disinvited" while others were being let in who were in line behind them. When pressed about why they were not allowed in, the Harris officials could not give a legitimate reason. pic.twitter.com/SYmDirbEhD

And the takeaway message here is “Don’t vote for Biden/Harris” because they’re racist.
Not only are they funding and giving political cover to Israel to commit a genocide against the Palestinian people but they are also discriminating against Americans for their religious beliefs.

So, what really happened here? The Director of Rapid Response for Joe Biden put out a statement saying the women were not allowed to enter because they had disrupted and shut down prior events.
These individuals were among the group of people not allowed to attend Saturday’s event after previously disrupting and shutting down events with Democratic elected officials. https://t.co/uyBjVmDzY3

But the group these women belong to put out a press release including a statement denying having ever disrupted any event.

Her statement reads:
At an event championing women’s rights, I was targeted by the Biden-Harris team because I am a jijabi woman. I have never disrupted a politcal event in my life and any insinuation of me doing is is categorically inaccurate. I voted for Biden and Harris in 2020 because I thought they stood with the Muslim community against hate. The violence of the Muslim ban is not just through Trump’s administration. Biden and Harris implemented a domestic Muslim ban that day by not allowing hijabis into their events. With what happened, I know I will not be voting for Democrats this November.”
The bigger problem is that whatever disruption did or did not happen previously, it’s not evident in this video clip which is spreading far and wide among young leftists.
This video of two Muslim women wearing hijabs being denied entry to a VP Kamala Harris event is spreading all over Instagram and Twitter.
The Biden campaign’s @ammarmufasa jumped in quickly to say that these women were denied entry because they had disrupted other Democratic… pic.twitter.com/8oIVHIeec7

His comment continues:
…other Democratic events.
But that has not stopped the video from spreading very quickly at a time when the Biden/Harris campaign has a significant issue with Muslim and Arab voters and their strongest allies.
Sure enough there are lots of people on the pro-Palestinian left highlighting this.
Hey @nvdems & @ClarkDems Would love to hear an explanation on why your staff denied two women wearing hijabs entry into last weekends Kamala Harris event, these women were certainly not given any explanation. https://t.co/34JWF4K1jZ

The Biden/Harris team signals they will not try to earn Muslim votes, even in a swing state like NV. 🤷🏾♀️ https://t.co/bVByVHO8mH

On the other hand, some pro-Biden Democrats are arguing that the women in this clip are just troublemakers who deserved to be denied entry.
If you really believe they were disinvited because of their hijabs, then I have a bridge to sell you
These people come to fundraisers only to disrupt, call Joe Biden "Genocide Joe" and then they get kicked out
They already had been kicked out previously, that's the reason https://t.co/sBspuJ9FfU— Random Dem🇺🇲🇺🇦 (@ARandomDem1) January 31, 2024
Personally, I think it’s possible the women in the clip are just troublemakers. We’ve certainly seen plenty of pro-Palestinian protesters whose only real interest is shouting “genocide” at anyone who shows any support for Israel. If that’s the case then labeling all resistance to their efforts to disrupt events as racism is also par for the course these days. But Democrats have made the racism charge so potent that it almost doesn’t matter if the charge is true. What matters is that it has been made and efforts to deny it may only make this situation worse. It might just be easier for Harris to apologize and fire someone than to fight this.
Finally, the guy seen in the video wearing sunglasses has apparently been identified as Sean Hoey. He re-posted this Biden/Elmo message about #EmotionalWellBeing yesterday.
I know how hard it is some days to sweep the clouds away and get to sunnier days.
Our friend Elmo is right: We have to be there for each other, offer our help to a neighbor in need, and above all else, ask for help when we need it.
Even though it's hard, you're never alone. https://t.co/ffMJekbowo
