No New Oprah Car, No Beyonce Concert, Democrats Are Stuck with Kamala

The only good thing you can say about the address Kamala Harris gave to close out the Hollywood production of the Democratic National Convention is that it was mercifully short. Clocking in at 35 minutes and change, the speech was basically a slightly tweaked version of the same stump speech she's been offering around the country for a month.

Harris spent a bit more time at the front end on her bio, which is peculiar being that she's been the vice-president of the United States for the past four years. It's not like anyone in the room or anyone watching on television or online doesn't know who she is. It obviously played up the endearing parts, left out the parts about her dad being a Marxist professor, and the wake of debris and destruction that followed whatever public job she held.

She spoke of her love for her family and her husband. Maybe not the same type of love as that of her husband's ex-nanny, but love nevertheless. All that was pedestrian and fine. It was written for her, loaded into the teleprompter, and she was able to deliver it without stumbling. Then, she went off the rails.

Not to pick too fine of a nit, but the first words out of her mouth were ones in which I have a problem.

Let's get down to business? Why start now? She's been the coronated candidate for 32 days. 33 days, in fact, counting today, and it's been a business-free enterprise thus far. She hasn't engaged with any serious journalist to talk about her record or her vision for the future. There's been no scrutiny on the hundreds of previous statements on video on policy positions she's apparently thrown out the window in the name of political expediency. There is no business side of this campaign at all. It's all fluff. It's cotton candy. It's Will Ferrell in Elf eating cotton balls. All four days of the convention turned out to be a content-free zone. It also turned out to be a Beyonce-free zone.

Kamala the prosecutor makes the case that a harm against any one of us is a crime against all of us, and that we are all in this together.

That's of very little consolation to the families of Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, Jocelyn Nungaray, or the thousands of family members who have lost loved ones, in many cases very young and innocent children, who are victims of violent crime - rapes, stabbings, and/or shootings - violent murders at the hands of illegal immigrants crossing the border with impunity. Harris can claim all she wants that we're in this together, but we're not. She sure as hell isn't, because she's continuing to allow it to happen every day as the sitting vice-president.

In fact, not only is she allowing the harm against all of us to proceed, she wants to normalize and legalize it, and let them vote.

No, we actually cannot give amnesty to millions and secure our border at the same time, especially with the policies overseen by Border Czar Harris for four years.

Getting back to the 'harm against one is a harm against us all' stuff, change the paradigm here for a minute. Instead of thinking this philosophy applies to the border and more specifically the immigration crisis, imagine she's talking about inflation and food prices. The prosecutor side in her sees those greedy supermarket chains raping the public with their unholy 1.6% average markup, and that's a grave harm on everybody just trying to afford groceries. She'll have no problem extending this logic to do as she promised last week - enact price controls, which would leapfrog the country into economic ruin.

But wait, there's more.

Okay, check please. Playing politics with our national security is all she's done for four years as vice-president. Whether it's her feckless and dangerous border policy, letting in God only knows how many thousands of unvetted people from hostile spots all over the globe, to snubbing the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his address to a joint session of Congress, a speech she avoided solely due to fear of offending Michigan anti-Semitic voters she's courting. The Biden-Harris strategy, such that it is, regarding the Middle East from October 7th forward has been entirely about how to manage the crisis politically, not based upon what's in the best interests of either this country or Israel. It's just a bald-faced lie.

Chart a new way forward, eh? Last time I checked, she's already steering the ship. The country by a 3-1 margin doesn't like the direction in which she's already charted, and they want an immediate turn in a different direction. She's trying this Jedi mind trick that she's not already in office as the vice-president of the current administration. It's surreal.

Harris talks about the importance of a peaceful transfer of power. I wonder if she ran that by Nancy Pelosi, who came out with this eye-popper a few hours earlier on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell.

The lengths we need to go to in order to beat Trump and save our democracy are comparable to the Revolutionary War and Lincoln leading the Union Army in the Civil War against the Confederacy? So what happens if Trump wins? Will the Democrats undergo a peaceful transition of power? Or do they start shooting? Will they at least certify the Electoral College victory for Trump, if he pulls it off in November? Don't count on it.

Back to Comrade Kamala, the champion of the middle class.

Price controls, 21% inflation over 3 years, housing subsidies which will price the middle class completely out of the housing market, which up to date has accounted for the biggest asset in the portfolio of a middle-class family. Yes, Kamala is so enamored of the middle class that she's going to allow Donald Trump's 2017 tax cuts expire next year, jacking up the personal income tax rate on the middle class even higher, and this doesn't even mention what's happening to energy prices, so long as she's throttling production in favor of green programs. She's for raising the business tax rate, which will raise prices on everything companies touch, and let's not even revisit the discussion about the rising minimum wage, of which she was a chief proponent, and the devastating results that has had on the buying power of the middle class. It would be otherwise laughable if so many gullible people weren't swallowing this tripe.

One of my personal favorites. She's against elder abuse. Kamala, the vice-president who lied to your face every day for four years that Joe Biden was doing just fine, was at the top of his game, knowing full well that he has been in the long, painful process of losing his one remaining marble for the duration of his presidency, had no problem committing elder abuse by abetting and covering up the mental decline of the President.

She's concerned about votes being thrown away, if I'm catching her meaning. This is especially rich coming from a person accepting the nomination of a political party that oversaw primary contests in 50 states, where 16,610,102 votes were cast for president by theoretically living Democratic voters, and exactly 0 of them were cast for Kamala Harris.

Kamala, the rule of law president. Except for student loans. And Housing subsidies. And price controls.  And immigration laws. And retail theft, looting, shoplifting. And stealing privately-held patents. And undermining Title IX, packing the Supreme Court, and granting D.C. statehood. None of these are rule of law acts. They're acts of a Democrat trying to game the system in any way possible to stay in power.

After lighting fire to an entire forest of abortion straw men, women, and children, she promises to sign Roe V. Wade into federal law. So much for Kamala for the people. She doesn't trust the people. She doesn't like the people enough to give them the ability to decide the issue for themselves. She just knows better, and for the sake of democracy, we have to do abortion her way, allowing nationwide for the killing of a viable child up to the point of delivery.

This is, of course, absolute nonsense. Putin invaded Crimea the first time on Barack Obama's watch. He sat out the Trump administration entirely in regards to his aggressive behavior. Kamala Harris oversaw the blessing of his Nord Stream 2 pipeline, while throttling our Keystone Pipeline at the same time, and watched helplessly as Putin invaded Ukraine, killing tens of thousands of people and putting Europe at risk of a wider war. Again, she is trying to pretend as if she knows all this stuff, but is coming at this from the perspective of an outsider. She was the last person in the room when the decision was made to pull out of Afghanistan. Putin likely saw that as a green light to move, and he didn't hesitate.

She doesn't like it when people look around and realize how bad things are. You're supposed to keep that to yourself. Nobody likes a complainer. You'll eventually get your food rations, and you'll take them with joy. By the way, joy went out of the speech the second she started pivoting to how much she's going to change things after having been, and still serving as second-in-command for the last four years.

On Israel, she paid lip service to the support of Israel far more than I figured she would, to her credit. But it all went out the window with one simple word tacked on at the end - but.

There are still five Americans, condition unknown, being held by Hamas. She did not say their names. It was not put into the teleprompter. It is of no real concern to her other than being a political annoyance. One of those being held, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, had his parents address the convention last night. It was a touching and wonderful moment. Naturally, the pro-Hamas crowd inside the arena were bitter at the parents being given time, and demanded equal opportunity for a pro-Palestinian speaker to address the crowd before Kamala spoke. The Party did not grant that permission, apparently holding out for that Beyonce concert that didn't take place, so the protesters locked arms in the promenade outside of the seating area.

Inside, Harris said it's time for a ceasefire. She's said that for months. She's been vice-president every day since the October 7th attack. Why in the world isn't Hamas listening to her pleas? Why hasn't Yahya Sinwar given up, released the hostages, and agreed to any of of the dozen ceasefire proposals offered him? Could it possibly be that Kamala Harris is a profound idiot when it comes to the politics and religious hatred that fueled the attacks in the first place? Could it be that she's never going to understand that Hamas, like Hezbollah, like Iran, wants dead Jews. Not some dead Jews, all dead Jews.

She claims that she'll stand up to Iran. Keep in mind, Kamals picked as her Middle East/Jewish liaison Ilan Goldenberg, who renounced his Israeli citizenship and is widely considered to be very soft on the Middle East conflict. Her appointment, and her track record on the subject, does not match her new-found rhetoric. In fact, her words here are as phony as the rest of the campaign is, right down to busing in paid actors to be patrons at a Pittsburgh suburb restaurant she visited.

She continued on her brief Middle East-ish tour by talking about how she'll stand up to Iran.

Just a week ago, Adam Kredo at the Free Beacon wrote about an investigation launched by Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton and New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, looking into the Iranian government ties of Harris' foreign policy advisor, Phil Gordon. Nevertheless, Harris, as vice-president, oversaw the release of over $10 billion dollars of sanctioned funds, breathing new terror lifeblood into Tehran. Her words about holding Iran more accountable than Trump would just don't add up. Her record betrays her words.

One more, from Kamala's mamala.

Don't tell them who you are, show them who you are. Sage advice, actually. What did Kamala Harris do tonight? She tried to tell people who she is, which is someone wholly different than whom we've seen every day for four years. What happened during those four years prior to tonight? She showed us exactly who she is. That's why she still can't quite catch Donald Trump, even with a propaganda effort by regime media the likes this country has never experienced.

On that front, there's so many examples of regime media in post-coital bliss after the Harris speech. But here is just a taste, a chef's kiss, if you will, of how in the tank our Fourth Estate is. I leave you with Jake Tapper on CNN wrapping things up.

Sorry, Jake, but not in your wildest dreams was Kamala's address Obama 2.0. It wasn't even in the caliber of Hillary 1.5. You don't have to go back to 2008 to hear an address that magnificent. You only have to go back to Tuesday night in Milwaukee, because it was basically the same damn stump speech, word for word in large swaths of it.

There were only two common themes on the minds and lips of convention goers leaving United Center. 1) I sure hope I get out of here without getting stabbed, mugged, or shot, and 2) So we're really not going to get a free Beyonce concert?
