What stories topped your priority lists this week? The body temperature of the Nepo Babytollah gets our immediate attention. Duane describes it as a Weekend at Bernie's situation, while I prefer the version in the headline. (Yes, yes, I know a burnoose is an Arab clothing item rather than Persian. Don't @ me, bros.) Duane covers the economic collapse approaching in Iran, and we both discuss whether Mojtaba Khamenei's value as an IRGC hand puppet had run out. The situation for millions of Iranians is far from a joking matter, however, as the collapse in water and sanitation infrastructure will have devastating consequences.
What does this mean for Donald Trump and his war strategy? We debate whether he actually has one, but both conclude that the best option may just be to keep the blockade in place and let the regime collapse. It appears that Iran has finally run out of storage options for its oil, which may accelerate the widening of any internal fractures in the regime.
Meanwhile, we have plenty to discuss from primaries this week and next. Republicans got the best possible outcome in Michigan; can Mike Rogers convert it?
