Welcome to our VIP feature for Hot Air as well as a members-only show in the Hughniverse! Duane Patterson and I now are doing a Week in Review show for Friday evenings, exclusive to members in both platforms. Duane has been the Generalissimo behind the Hugh Hewitt Show for more than two decades, and we have partnered on weekly commentary since 2007.
What stories topped your priority lists this week? Donald Trump's declaration of a deal with Iran left both Duane and me skeptical. Duane puts more stock in it than I do, but we both wonder whether the IRGC will give up the Tehran Two-Step. Later developments look somewhat promising, and even while we recorded, the Iranians seemed more engaged on a potential solution. Nevertheless, even if the MOU gets signed over the weekend, neither Duane nor I expect the Iranians to comply with it.
We also take a look at the Democrats' desperation to keep Graham Platner from imploding. Ro Khanna went the Full McCarthy today in attacking his critics over Platner and other issues, which gives one a measure of just how impossible it is to answer for Platner's bizarre and violent history. Der Oysterführer still has the option of dropping out before the state convention next month; will he let Khanna and other Democrats off the hook? Or will we see the Little Führer make an appearance by the end of the general election? You'll get a Kik out of this discussion – trust me.
Be sure to watch it all, and extend the conversation in the comments!
