Dems Score Another Epstein Scalp: Davos Summit CEO; Update

Man, that Epstein Light Grenade has some real power!

Democrats pushed hard to expose all of the investigatory documentation in the Jeffrey Epstein case. They were convinced that the files would expose speculative links to Donald Trump and other members of the conservative establishment. Instead, the files keep forcing leaders in progressive-elite circles to run for the shadows. This morning, the CEO of the World Economic Forum and organizer of the annual global-elite Davos Summit resigned after his connections to Epstein emerged from the files:

The president and CEO of the World Economic Forum, Borge Brende, said he was stepping down on Thursday, a few weeks after the forum launched an independent investigation into his relationship with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Brende, who ‌became president of the WEF in 2017, announced his decision in a statement following disclosures from the US Justice Department that showed the Norwegian had three business dinners with Epstein and had also communicated with the disgraced ‌financier via email and text message.

"After careful consideration, I have decided to step down as President and CEO of the World Economic Forum. My time here, spanning 8-1/2 years, has been profoundly rewarding," Brende said. The statement made no mention of Epstein.

So let's offer a quick recap of all those forced to resign and/or facing legal consequences in the wake of the congressionally mandated release of the Epstein Files:

  • Barack Obama's top economic advisor, Larry Summers (and Clinton's Treasury Secretary)
  • Obama's White House Counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler
  • The Clintons
  • Prince Andrew
  • Labour Minister Peter Mandelson
  • Former Norway PM Thorborn Jagland
  • Former UN General Assembly president Miroslav Lajcak
  • French cultural minister Jack Lang
  • Brad Karp, former chair of a major law firm
  • DP World CEO Ahmed Bin Sulayem
  • Hyatt chair Thomas Pritzker, brother of Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker
  • Hollywood agent Casey Wasserman, also chair of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics Committee

Even Axios has begun to notice the pattern:

World Economic Forum leader Børge Brende announced his resignation Thursday, the latest casualty of the Epstein files fallout rocking business, politics and academia.

The big picture: The files' release has captured some of the world's most powerful people in a far-reaching shadow of shame, effectively ending the careers of captains of industry, academic big shots and prominent politicians. And the dominoes keep falling.

Axios also runs down the roster of Epstein taints, almost all of whom fall within the progressive-elite circles to which Epstein aspired. The only figure outside of those circles Axios can list is Trump's Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who faces calls for resignation at the moment from both Democrats and Republicans. Everyone else belongs firmly in the Davos clique. Having the leader of that clique exposed as an Epstein associate is chef's kiss perfection.

The Epstein Light Grenade has done its work ... again. And it continues to shed light on the real enablers of Jeffrey Epstein, and on their rabid case of projection over the past year. It also goes a long way to explaining why the Biden-era Department of Justice never offered to publish these files.

Update: I've added a link to the "Epstein Light Grenade" that explains the joke. Also, House Oversight chair James Comer has suggested that he may invite Lutnick to testify in their Epstein investigation:

The "invitation" may look a lot like a subpoena. Comer may want to push for Lutnick's resignation, or maybe he just wants to demonstrate that his subpoenas for the Clintons is not motivated by partisanship. Either way, Trump has to wonder whether Lutnick's value outweighs his baggage in this scandal. Dismissing Lutnick would force Trump to get another Cabinet appointment through the Senate, but maybe that's easier done this year than next.
