"Yes and absolutely, and then some," Mace told reporters. "I'm not going to stand for a man. When someone with a penis is in the women's locker room, that's not okay. I'm a victim of abuse, I'm a rape survivor. I have PTSD from the abuse I've suffered at the hands of a man and I know how vulnerable women are in private spaces."

"I’m absolutely 100% gonna stand in the way of any man who wants to be in a women’s restroom, in our locker rooms, in our changing rooms. I will be there fighting you every step of the way."

“Every day Americans go to work with people who have life journeys different than their own and engage with them respectfully, I hope members of Congress can muster that same kindness,” she wrote on X.

“This is a blatant attempt from far right-wing extremists to distract from the fact that they have no real solutions to what Americans are facing,” McBride added. “We should be focused on bringing down the cost of housing, health care, and child care, not manufacturing culture wars.”

Ed: Er ... who's manufacturing culture wars? The people who insist that males should have access to women's spaces on the basis of self-identity, or the people who oppose it? Because it looks a lot more like the former than the latter, and voters seemed to agree in this last election.

Greene was then asked how one would "check if someone is qualified to use the ladies' restroom? Obviously there's a new transgender member of Congress."

"Which is a man," said Greene. "He's a man. He's a biological male. So he is not allowed to use our women's restrooms, our women's gym, our locker rooms and spaces that are specified for women.

"He's a biological male," Greene continued. "He's got plenty of places he can go."

Ed: Newsweek headlined this by noting that Marjorie Taylor Greene "openly misgendered" McBride. Nope. McBride is a male, biologically as well as anatomically. This decade-long attempt to normalize "gendering" needs to come to an end. Greene also goes on to note that McBride will have a restroom in his office that he can use.

Ed: Thanks for proving Rep. Mace's point.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez denounced Mace’s move, saying in comments to Axios that “this is not just bigotry, this is just plain bullying.”

Representative Maxwell Frost, a Florida Democrat, on Tuesday equated Mace’s resolution to a ploy for attention. “I just don’t understand why bathrooms are top of mind for her,” he added.

Ed: Why is it top-of-mind to allow males access to female-only spaces? This is the fight that Democrats have picked for the past decade in public schools and commercial spaces. If they don't want that debate in Congress, then maybe they should consider why we have separate bathrooms and changing rooms for males and females, and stop forcing other Americans to have this debate. It's absolutely absurd to create special access for McBride that other males don't get.

Last week, far-left trans advocate Jay Michaelson threatened to walk off the set on CNN when conservative Shermichael Singleton referred to biological male transexuals as boys. Demonstrating the continuing disconnect, host Abby Philips asked Singleton to stop offending Michaelson. Progressives still don’t accept that most of the 99% of Americans who are not trans don’t want to pretend to be delusional, or are barred by their religious beliefs from doing so.

Ed: On another topic, last night I finished the Final Word by wondering what happened to Kamala Harris, who hasn't been seen in public since Jill Biden snubbed her on Veterans Day. "She's still the sitting VP," I wrote, "but it seems like she's been exiled to an island somewhere." Andrew Malcolm sent me a press guidance from the VP's office, and ...
