Why yes, yes they would. After all, if you think about it, it is no different than what they do every day, which is lie, lie ,LIE about everything in a manner that strokes the political erogenous zones of the lefties they need to keep in a frenzy to ensure that they goose step to the polls (or, these days, their mailboxes) to vote for Democrats.
There is a reason why I keep using the term "Pravda Media." It's not just a mildly clever quip. It's because the function of much of the "news" media is to create an alternate reality to keep people frightened, angry, and ready to do whatever they can, including committing violence, in order to stop the evil Orange Man and his minions.
In my earlier piece today on the Lindsay Clancy frenzy, I argued that people have become unmoored from their moral foundations, which is true, and in addition to that, they have become unmoored from any sense of reality itself by a media culture that builds an alternative universe in which the Evil Orange Mob led by the Orange Cthulu is eating babies and impoverishing people by the million.
We are bent on genocide. We gleefully bomb innocents in the Middle East, torture and kidnap fine, upstanding brown non-citizens, incarcerate black and brown people for no good reason at all, and have sent the Gestapo out to create a white supremacist regime.
It's the liars and assassins who are the good guys. They are the antifascists who are saving the parents and children from the Orange Hoard.
If you ever wonder what is WRONG with people, it's this: they are experiencing the equivalent of a psychotic break, but that break has little to do with brain dysfunction, and everything to do with information dysfunction. One screen, two movies. We may both, nominally, be watching Schindler's List, but in their version it is the Nazis who are trying to save the world from the perfidious Jews, and Schindler is trying to help the bad guys escape.
Saving Private Ryan? Look at the depredation of the Allies, indiscriminately bombing Nazi troops just trying to stay alive! They were colonizers invading a continent to which none of them belonged! What right does an American have to invade Europe?!
We live in a world where Adam Schiff is a hero to millions, and Abdul El-Sayed is a medical professional just trying to save Americans from the Orange Hoard. James Talarico is the perfectly normal Christian whose fascination with drag queens and trans kids is a sign of his great love for humanity.
It is now commonplace for Democrats to run candidates who explicitly say that America is evil and that they are running to represent other countries, and if you watch M-SNOW, this makes them ideal candidates to represent Americans.

Lindsay Clancy was a good mom (despite “viciously killing” her three children - literally the terms used by another juror who also would have found not guilty), because she had a big sign in her house that said “it’s a wonderful life”.

How are students and faculty supposed to feel about someone working for the university, and particularly in HR supporting murdering others over differing views?
You have probably noticed that some of the most bloodthirsty people in public life are in the "caring" professions these days, and that's because they have adopted an ethic of "making the world better," and the problem is that what they define as "better" is, itself, evil.
That stems from watching the inverted movie; their motives are supposedly altruistic, but what they have been told is good and what they believe is demonic.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and that most certainly is true. Good intentions unmoored from a solid sense of what is real, what is possible, and a theory of mind that extends beyond one's skull generate some of the most evil results we have ever seen.
That was the history of communism, and almost every utopian society ever tried.
