It's commonplace for partisans to find the worst possible person associated with their opposition, and to wrap the worst sins of that person around the entire group.
It's usually unfair, and almost always a cheap shot. Just because David Duke was a Republican didn't mean that all Republicans are like David Duke. In fact, Republicans denounced Duke in a chorus.
But sometimes, it ISN'T unfair, and the best way to tell the difference is pretty simple: if, when confronted with the facts about how awful that person is, the accused parties don't disassociate themselves, it's perfectly fair to make the connection and drive it home.
We've seen a lot of opportunities for Democrats to disassociate themselves from some truly evil people, and with few exceptions, they not only haven't chosen to condemn the evil, but have embraced it. We saw that with Graham Platner, whom the Democrats desperately tried to prop up until it was clear he would be crushed in his Senate race. It wasn't the Nazism, or the physical abuse of his girlfriends, or the serial lying, or any of the obvious red flags that put the Democrats off of him; Chuck Schumer himself endorsed the Nazi/Communist/Antisemite until the poll numbers tanked.
The same is true of Abdul El-Sayed, who is an actual Islamist with terrorist ties, or any of the actual communists running for high office. Zohran Mamdani, who is so obviously a communist antisemite, is a star in the party, and Jennifer Welch, who celebrates murder, pals around with Barack Obama and has candidates going through her revolving door, desperate to reach her bloodthirsty audience.
And then there is Hasan Piker, who is so popular that he fills venues, hosts politicians on his podcasts, and is a hot ticket on the campaign trail.

Hasan Piker is a star in the Democrat Party and the left, even though Piker pretty clearly has contempt for the Democrats unless they bow down to his own bloodthirsty political views. The man does everything in the world to make clear that he is a bloodthirsty revolutionary who longs for a violent revolution in America and that he loves it when conservatives die or, even better, get assassinated, and presidential candidates line up to reach his audience.

And it’s not just random blue-haired transgender teachers caught in a viral video either. It’s their most prominent thought leaders who are celebrated in the pages of the New York Times.
Democrats think that people taking potshots at President Trump is fine and dandy; the late-night comics make jokes about it, and they thrill to Hasan Piker putting up a New York Times front page from 9/12/2001, to put an exclamation mark after his famous "America deserved 9/11" rant, which is right up there with his comments about capitalist blood running in the streets.

Jonathan Turley's latest book is about the "Age of Rage," and while rage itself isn't exclusive to the Left, it has become the Left's brand and motivation. There are rage-filled people in all groups of people; what is distinctive here is that the entire identity of the Left is bound up in recreating the French Revolution and/or its sequels, such as the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution or Mao's Cultural Revolution.
Piker thrilled the crowd by mocking a murdered man over his faith and his death. It is more than being simply classless. It is commodifying rage. Piker is reportedly raking in a fortune as are other hatemongers like Jennifer Welch. They traffic in rage to a nation of rage addicts.
It is a scene that only reaffirms the work of Kirk who sought to expose the hate and intolerance of the left, particularly on our campuses. Kirk infuriated many by challenging them to debate. There is no room for reason in an age of rage. Those who try to introduce opposing views on campuses are cancelled or attacked.
Recently, a group of pro-life teenagers were kicked out of the Wydaho Roasters coffee shop in Idaho by an owner who found their presence intolerable. At universities, faculty members have attacked displays and even students in righteous rage. One professor who pleaded guilty to assaulting pro-life students was not only attained on the faculty but even honored by another school.
Civility, and even humanity, become signs of weakness in these times. They gravitate to figures like Abdul El-Sayed who has campaigned with Piker and promises to “choke out” Republicans and refers to moderates like Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman (D) as ogres to have their heads cut off and put on pikes.
The American left has found their berserkers, the old Norse warriors who were known to fight in a virtual violent trance. The new berserkers offer the chance to hate completely and without remorse or reflection. Over time, supporters are conditioned to disregard even the murder of those with opposing views. As shown in San Francisco, assassination becomes nothing more than a sing-a-long in an age of rage.
Hatred is the glue that holds together the Democrat Party coalition, up to and including some of its most establishment members, such as James Comey, who slyly implied that he wouldn't mind at all if Donald Trump were taken out. It's not at all uncommon for popular podcasters favored by the Democrat Party establishment to put out what amounts to hit lists, and Democratic governors now routinely talk about getting revenge on anybody who cooperates with the Trump administration, including federal employees and corporate presidents.

Left-leaning protests almost always devolve into violence, with the approval and applause of Democrat Party officeholders. During Metro Surge in my state, the governor, lieutenant governor, state legislators, and local government officials were active participants in sending "protesters" out to assault ICE and CBP agents, and even sent protesters to threaten agents at their hotels at night.

You may recall that after Charlie Kirk's death, The New York Times handed its Opinion Page over to Piker, one of the most evil people in modern politics, to muse about the importance of Kirk's death. They have done much to normalize this man, whose heroes are mass murderers such as Mao.

There are a few Democrats who are repelled by this turn toward violence and evil in their party, but they are the exception, not the norm. I can say that with complete confidence because the top leadership of the party has been giving bear hugs to all the candidates who Piker campaigns with, such as Abdul El-Sayed, whose entire family is filled with Islamists and whose bookshelf is filled with the writings of Islamist terrorists.

Democrats keep excusing this by speaking of a "big tent," and by now we know the Democrats like tents so much that the cities they run are filled with tents of homeless drug addicts who crap in the streets and masturbate on women walking the sidewalks.
They apparently want Nazis in their tent. Islamic terrorists in their tent. Illegal aliens from around the world in their tent. Assassins in their tent. Communists in their tents. People filled with revolutionary zeal in their tent.
They even have sing-alongs mocking the martyred whom their allies killed, perhaps sending a Venmo to Luigi Mangione's lawyers after they leave.

I keep waiting for Democrats I know to get upset about the turn to evil their party has taken, and a few have. Bill Maher has. Some genuinely moderate Democrats have.
But most? Nope. They will excuse it because they are angry that Trump is deporting rapists.

I can't believe I have to write about crap like this. When I first got involved in politics, most of the arguments were about marginal tax rates, and the hot-button topics were gay marriage and abortion.
Now? It's about whether killing people is an acceptable way to "decolonize" the world, and how many children getting mutilated is enough.
