Please forgive me for being a Hot Air version of Twitchy just this once, but I have to have a bit of fun at Joy Reid's expense today.
Yes, I know, one does not have to be a comic genius to make fun of Joy Reid. Even though she is a Harvard grad and I am not, let's just say that my light burns a bit brighter than hers, as does yours.
Reid shared what she thought her scary vision of what the Republican agenda is, and unsurprisingly, many MAGA folks nodded their heads along, waiting for the scary part. Instead, they just kept nodding, pretty much agreeing that, for once, she got it right.
Joy Reid on the fascist agenda:

No income tax, no regulations (a bit of an exaggeration, but run with it anyway...), no limits on income, and no inheritance tax.
Not bad, although most of us are not straight-up libertarians, so we probably want reasonable regulations to prevent the worst outcomes.

MAGA laughed out loud. Guffawed. Split a gut. Or whatever metaphor you like, since even most centrists wouldn't freak out should this scary future come to pass. It is the opposite of the dystopian communist vision shared by Reid and the left wing of the Democratic Party, and of course, we want something that looks pretty similar to that.

Only insane people would object strenuously to that vision. We can argue around the edges about the size of the regulatory state or about how much we should pay in taxes and using which tax scheme to collect the minimum necessary to provide for basic government services, but Republicans have been winning elections on a platform similar to that for decades.
Why did none of you tell me that Joy Reid had become a MAGA spokesperson https://t.co/clewWrIyEf

Reid lives in a world where communism is the common ideology. The main ideological disputes within her world are similar to those between the Bolsheviks, the Mensheviks, and the Anarchists in the late 19th and Early 20th century. The icepicks have yet to be thrust into anyone's head yet, but that will come after the Revolution.
Damn Joy Reid’s version of fascism sounds awesome. https://t.co/N4yWRWEijt

Reid, in blathering on like this, resembles a different version of Martha Raddatz, and you could imagine J.D. Vance laughing at her and asking, "Do you HEAR yourself, Joy?" And, obviously, she doesn't, at least in the context of understanding how ordinary people will react when she mouths her inanities.
Democrats, I beg you. Run on fighting this scary agenda.

Liberals live in a very closed and insular bubble, where they, from their wealthy and privileged perches, look down on the hoi polloi and disdain our aspirations, our desire to get ahead, and can't understand why we object to being "ruled" by dunces like her.
As "End Wokeness" says, we should all beg Democrats to run on a Joy Reid platform of disdain for common sense.
Editor's Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
