Colbert Wants to Get Fired

Colbert and his allies in the Pravda Media/entertainment complex--along with Democrats--are insisting that the former funnyman was fired at the behest of President Trump.

The accusation is absurd. You can't lose tens of millions of dollars a year and expect to keep your $15 million a year job. The math doesn't work.

But, as we know, propaganda works with people who want to believe it. All you need is an authoritative voice to say the most absurd things, and people inclined to believe it, will. Even many who do not start out believing it come to do so, based on the "when there is smoke, there's fire principle.

Colbert is egging on this narrative for a simple reason: his livelihood is at stake, and if he can convince enough people that he is getting screwed because of Trump, his economic value will increase by creating a loyalty to him among Trump haters. And if he gets himself fired for insulting his bosses while accusing them of selling out to Trump, he will get a nice payout and time to set up his next gig.

So Colbert wants to get fired, and fired for challenging his bosses with accusations of political influence--obviously false, but that is irrelevant to the hoax industrial complex.

No doubt Colbert will set up a podcast or something similar--I doubt any network could afford to hire him to lose them a bunch of money. He can produce a podcast for far less than $100 million and wind up doing quite well. Hire a few people and he can make a go of if, especially if he starts out with a few tens of millions extracted out of CBS.

Colbert is being fired by the same corporation that just cut a deal to pay $1.5 billion for 5 years of South Park--and they just aired an episode including Trump being in bed with Satan. Obviously, they aren't afraid of offending Trump--they are afraid of losing money.

South Park will be profitable for them. Colbert was a money loser. But then again, the people pushing this narrative also assert that the First Amendment depends on government funding of propaganda from PBS and NPR, so logic has no influence on what they say.

Colbert is going for the victim card. A wildly wealthy white man who has cost his employer somewhere north of $100 million in losses over the past few years--perhaps much more than that--is playing the victim, and his friends in the media are helping him do so.

Colbert will make bank whether he gets fired or not--I place my bets on his succeeding in getting canned--but of course, the people who are working on his show will be left out in the cold.

That doesn't matter. It never does. It is always about the people at the top of the pyramid.
