Taylor Lorenz has, a number of times, claimed that she is not at all--not even a little bit, you know--saying that she wants people to go out and kill healthcare executives.
This is, of course, complete horse manure. And I know that because she also calls Luigi Mangione a "morally good" man, that she felt "joy" when Brian Thompson was shot in the back on the streets of New York, and that she totally gets why so many women find Luigi so darn dreamy.
Taylor Lorenz on murderer Luigi Mangioni: “Here’s this man who, who’s a revolutionary, who’s famous, who’s handsome, who’s young, who’s smart — he’s a person that seems like a morally good man, which is hard to find”pic.twitter.com/o2rmSu1MNV

She exemplifies par excellence of the "I don't approve of violence, but..." While many people who default to this step away from violence before embracing it a bit more slyly, Taylor goes for broke and doesn't just fangirl the idea of striking a blow against evil capitalists. She embraces the people who do it to the point of suggesting that such people are sexy heroes.
Taylor Lorenz awkwardly praising Luigi Mangione, prompting utter disgust from Piers Morgan:

Piers Morgan: "Why would you be in such a celebratory mood about the execution of another human being? Aren't you supposed to be on the caring sharing left where you know you believe in… pic.twitter.com/Kl2khtohcO
No doubt, UnitedHealthcare is hardly a paragon of virtue, but there is something sort of bizarre about the claim that the company is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people by tossing them into the dustbin. This sort of thinking is driven by the delusion that any healthcare system has infinite resources, and if we only had one like Canada's or Great Britain's, everything would be utopic.
Uh, yeah, no. Canada is literally killing off the mentally ill and the paralyzed, telling its soldiers with PTSD to kill themselves, and making people wait years to get basic medical treatment that is routine in the United States. There are a million problems with our healthcare system, but evil executives are far down the list.
But that isn't my point. What is the point is that liberals--really anybody with a utopian point of view that doesn't understand that any system with finite resources and potentially infinite demands on them, will find a way to ration them because it must--will inevitably look for villains to blame.
Things must not turn out well because some evil person caused that to happen. Brian Thompson, Elon Musk, Donald Trump...some evil person made this happen.

Lorenz, in particular, seems to embrace every stupid and evil trend found on the left, and in turn, the left lionizers her because she embraces every bit of its idiocy 110%. She is the crazy internet girlfriend with the wide eyes, the bizarre fixations, and makes you worry that one day you will wake up with a knife to your throat because she dreamed you slept with another woman.
People who brush past the "I don't approve of violence," whether they are Taylor Lorenz or Chuck Schumer, who refuses to denounce violence against Tesla but will explain exactly why people should hate Elon Musk are justifying violence. These are the people who will give you long explanations for why Trump inspires hate while refusing to denounce it.
Chuck Schumer is asked to denounce the violence against Tesla.

He refuses, and then incites violence against Elon Musk.

I could give you a long list of leftists who I think are threats to the Western way of life--I write often enough about many of them--but I wouldn't for a moment suggest that people go out and kill them. And if one of them got killed by a hot girl I wouldn't start laughing about how much I would want to spend the night with her.
Because killing people is wrong except in very limited circumstances, and political disputes are not on the list. I think abortion is evil, doctors who sterilize and mutilate children are Mengele-like, and the politicians who push alphabet ideology are a threat to children and civilization itself.
I don't want to kill them. I want to change minds and change the laws.
Leftism is anti-civilization, because civilization begins with agreeing on rules by which we govern ourselves and within which we behave in society.
Did you catch that magic word in her monolog about how dreamy Mangione is? "Revolutionary."
The Left LOVES the Che Guevaras of the world because, in the end, they love violence. They find it sexy, even orgasmic.
All societies have such people. Unfortunately, since the 1960s, the Democratic Party has embraced them. The Weathermen, The Black Panthers, BLM, Antifa, Indivisible.
Lorenz spent her youth as a superstar in the Pravda Media. What does that tell you?
