We can only speculate on the answer, but I have some theories about why PBS, NPR, and the BBC are so viciously antisemitic.
And yes, they are antisemitic, anti-Israel, and pro-Jihadist terrorism.
Last week I wrote two articles about the BBC scandal in which the Beeb funded and aired a "documentary" that was nothing but Hamas propaganda, featuring Hamas family members, narrated by the son of a Hamas official, and was filmed by a Hamas supporter.
The Beeb kind of sort of apologized and put a disclaimer on the "documentary" but kept it available until the pressure mounted too much to ignore.
Unsurprisingly, we learned that the Beeb's Hamas friends (or the Beeb itself, since it claimed that the film was up to BBC's rigorous standards) manipulated the translations to get rid of references to the evil Jews and Jihad. A classic example of the "they say one thing in English and another in Arabic" tricks often pulled on people.

Openly admitting to your antisemitism and desire for the destruction of Israel makes for bad press, so the Bad Press simply edited it out. Because of course they did.

Across the pond, another government-funded media outlet did much the same thing, giving glowing coverage of the funeral of Hezbollah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah and, I kid you not, calling him a "father figure" to Palestinians and Lebanese. (It may be true that Palestinian Lebanese loved him, to their discredit, but the Lebanese man on the street is thrilled that he is dead).

PBS glides over the fact that Nasrallah was a terrorist warlord OCCUPYING Southern Lebanon, not a legitimate governmental leader of the country, and that he was an Iran-backed tyrant bent on killing Jews.
PBS News Mideast “special correspondent” Simona Foltyn reported from Lebanon for Sunday's PBS News Weekend, from a funeral service celebrating the life and legacy of….Hassan Nasrallah, who led the Iran-backed anti-Israel terrorist group Hezbollah before dying months ago under Israeli bombardment.
Foltyn has a virulently anti-Israel X feed and a journalistic history to match, always boosting the pro-Hamas perspective, and this story is a bizarre encomium to Nasrallah, whose Hezbollah forces fought alongside Syrian dictator Assad killing thousands of Syrian rebels in the process, and then joined forces with the terrorists of Hamas to attack Israel via rocket fire from Lebanon -- an overreach for which paid the price.
Simona Foltyn: It’s the end of an era for Lebanon. Hassan Nasrallah was the country`s most powerful man. His group Hezbollah, its strongest political and military force. Labeled a terrorist by Israel, Nasrallah is revered by Lebanon`s Shiite community, who gathered in their thousands to pay their respects. Rasha Accoushe traveled to the capital from her village in southern Lebanon.
Rasha Accoushe, Hezbollah Supporter (through translator): We will keep crying over him for a long time, but this person, he taught us what it means to stand up for ourselves, to defend our land and to defend our rights.
Foltyn: Nasrallah was killed on September 27th when Israel pummeled Beirut suburbs with a barrage of bunker busting bombs supplied by the United States. Despite his demise, his supporters have remained defiant.
He was a "father figure," in the way that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, was described as an "austere religious scholar" by the Washington Post, and the head of the Iranian IGRC was a "revered military leader."
In Lebanon on Sunday, thousands turned out for the funeral of Hassan Nasrallah, the former longtime leader of Hezbollah who was killed nearly five months ago in the war with Israel.

The funeral came just days after Israel failed to meet a second deadline to withdraw from… pic.twitter.com/4HeHMvh5r5
You have to love her framing of Israel as the bad guy. They are "provoking" the poor terrorists.
Foltyn: Only time will tell if Hezbollah can maintain the support base without Nasrallah. For many people gathered here, Nasrallah was a father figure who led the movement for more than three decades. His assassination has no doubt weakened the group, but his legacy is likely to live on. This funeral sends the message that Hezbollah has survived the war and still enjoys a lot of grassroots support. For PBS News Weekend, I`m Simona Foltyn in Beirut, Lebanon.
After that treatment, it would surely shock no one that Foltyn worked for the virulently anti-Israel outlet Arab news network Al-Jazeera English from 2019 to 2021 (on the Iraq beat),
"His legacy is likely to live on." How charming.

Whitewashing terrorists is a beloved pastime in Pravda Media.
So why are government-backed media, in particular, in the business of supporting Islamic terrorists and antisemites in general? I have a theory, if not a shocking one.
The Beeb and our own government-sponsored media exist mainly to promote and whitewash Leftist propaganda regardless of who occupies the White House and Congress. They are, like the Intelligence Community, the FBI, and all members of the Deep State complex, a force unto themselves. And as DEI and "decolonization" have become the religion of the left, government-sponsored media exist to parrot that line.
It's like academia, which, not coincidentally, is also largely funded by the government. There are no market forces to hold the people in these sinecures accountable, so they can go even farther leftward than anybody else in the Pravda Media. They serve as the vanguard, expanding the Overton Window and allowing the commercial media to follow in their wake.
After all, PBS, NPR, and the BBC are the prestige media and the voice of the Deep State.
Now, if you think the Deep State is not really so leftist, look at my breaking story about Tulsi Gabbard firing those freaks in the Intelligence Community. People who spend all day every day discussing transgenderism, sexual fantasies, and hatred of Republicans and various ethnic groups on NSA servers on company time.
Government schools, government-funded media, government agencies, and government-funded media pushed radical alphabet ideology out to the masses. Because the Deep State is radically anti-Western values.
So it shouldn't surprise us that the Beeb and our own government media are radically left on "decolonization" and the oh-so-respectable antisemitism we see from the radical left. It is their job not just to SPREAD the Narrative™, but to prepare the ground for others to do so.
In other words, these outlets see themselves as "the vanguard."
