I have written many times about the disastrous decline of Scientific American. 

Not too long ago they wrote (and created insane videos saying) that misogynists invented the concept of women in the 17th century, and before that time, there was only one recognized sex.

Well, they are at it again, this time insisting that the reason we believe that women are less physically capable is due to misogyny and that the truth is that men and women are equally competitive in sports. 

The absolutely antiscientific ignorant idiocy of the (pseudo)Scientific American can only be explained by ideological capture.

This absurd assertion is what passes itself off as The Science™ today. 

Women being less capable at sports, on average, is not a reason to consider them less-than-equal, nor is the male incapacity to have babies a sign that we are less-than-equal. These are just biological facts of life and a sign of the many ways that the two sexes--and yes, there are only two sexes--are complementary. There would be no human race but for that complementarity, the denial of the gender binary is a rejection of reality itself. 

And that is the point. Science reveals things in reality that are ideologically uncomfortable for the terminally woke, so science must be redefined as something other than a description of reality. It is aspirational; it is a propaganda tool. 

Science is an attempt to understand what is; The Science™ is a convenient authority in order to reshape the world into what leftists want it to be.

Science says that masks don't work; The Science™ says people must be forced to wear them. 

What is particularly puzzling is that gender ideology harms the people who the ideologues claim to want to help: women and children. As a practical matter, we toxically masculine men are perhaps the least directly hurt by gender ideology, except by extension. It harms our loved ones and hence infuriates us, as we expect ourselves to be their protectors. But men playing in women's sports is no skin off my nose but for the offense to my sense of fairness. 

The girls and women, though, are harmed. Ironically, the agent of that harm is a man who is championed by these insane tyrants.

Serena Williams is not downplaying her athletic ability by voicing a reality; she is recognizing a reality in which she is a fantastic tennis player in her sport: women's tennis. Men's tennis is different because MEN are different. 

Academia has become self-refuting. Every time an academic opens his mouth, you have to wonder whether they are speaking as an educated person or as an indoctrinated/indoctrinating person. 

Undermining faith in reality and our common experience is an essential part of this. Telling us that we can't do our own research and thinking and that we must rely on experts to tell us what to think depends on denying any foundation at all, or at least denying that we can access reality. 

The assertion that the gender binary is a social construct, a thing of the mind, or based on an attitude that can be changed at will is important because the "experts" are demanding the sole right to define things and reality as they prefer. In a very real sense they demand we become insane, in the sense that we are detached from reality. Their goal is to replace your experience of reality with their desired version of it. 

This is why "misgendering" someone is "genocide" or "violence." Failing to submit to their will is, in their eyes, destroying their preferred reality--wiping it away. Of course, they want to wipe reality away, and with it your experience of it. It is about power and authority. 

Scientific American is engaged in this project. This is why they have endorsed for president twice now. That, too, is about seizing power. They are no longer in the business of acquiring and spreading knowledge, but reshaping your experience of the world by destroying the foundation of reason.
