Humor can get offensive, and most of the time, I scoff when people cry about it.

And then there are the other times--the times when you know that people are revealing something very dark in their souls.

Screenshot in case they delete itThe Onion was recently taken over by one of the most despicable mainstream media "fact checkers," Ben Collins, who was a senior reporter at NBC News covering “disinformation, extremism and the internet.” He was loud and proud in his hate for Donald Trump, arguing that his rhetoric is beyond the pale. 

Collins apparently thinks that the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the wounding of two rallygoers, and the murder of Corey Comperatore is totally hilarious. A belly laugh. 

I have scraped less disgusting muck from the bottom of my shoes after visiting a farm than Ben Collins. He is the slime that accumulates at the bottom of a sewage treatment plant. He is as honest as Baghdad Bob and has the empathy of a cobra. 

Those are the nicest things that can be said of him. 

Having spent far too long on Twitter/X, Collins is not alone. What makes him and his admirers different is that they revel in their disgusting, violent fantasies and truly believe that they have the moral high ground.

No doubt Collins and his lefty buddies at The Onion think that this is a totally legitimate dunk on Trump and that Comperatore deserved to be killed because he admired the former president. 

Remember, these are the same people who decry "microaggressions," think calling a deluded man a "man" is genocidal hate, and like to watch men beat up women at the Olympics. 

"Haha. Our violent rhetoric got one of your supporters killed, which is proof that you are an evil man." 

Their souls are twisted by hate.

I don't think that liberal elites were always this bad, and I still maintain that most normal Democrats would be appalled. I believe this because I know many normal Democrats, and while many are brainwashed to despise Trump, they don't wish his supporters ill. They certainly don't revel in the murder of one. 

I really haven't much more to say except this: we are fighting people like this. They are the people who hate you. Collins was among the most "respected" MSM figures, and this is what most of those folks believe. 

We must defeat them. They are the people who worry more about cats and dogs than the residents of Springfield, OH. It's time to send their ilk who run Washington packing. 

Get to work. Don't waste energy hating them. Use it to kick them out the door.
