NBC says Canada warns 2SLGBTQI+ people about traveling the US; it's propaganda

There is amateur-level virtue signaling, and then there is Justin Trudeau-level virtue signaling.

In a move that should surprise nobody and offend every red-blooded American, the government of Canada has issued a travel advisory to its LGBTQ citizens to be cautious while visiting the United States.

Why, exactly? It takes a second to realize it given how gobsmackingly stupid this is, but the Canadian government doesn’t give any specific reasons other than the fact that some US states have passed some laws or something…

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said the government employed experts “to look carefully around the world and to monitor whether there are particular dangers to particular groups of Canadians.”

Speaking to reporters in Atlantic Canada, she added: “Every Canadian government … needs to put at the center of everything we do the interest and the safety of every single Canadian and every single group of Canadians. That’s what we’re doing now.”

Canada under Justin Trudeau has been on a Queer virtue-signaling spree, renaming LGBTQIA+/-alkdkjf to 2SLGBTQI+ to ensure it flows off the tongue smoothly.

Canada’s travel advisory for the U.S. now includes a cautionary message for those who consider themselves two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning or intersex — or 2SLGBTQI+ for short.

“Some states have enacted laws and policies that may affect 2SLGBTQI+ persons,” the advisory says. “Check relevant state and local laws.”

The advisory did not specify which states it was referring to.

Every state has likely enacted laws and policies that may affect 2SLGBTQI+ people. The Canadian government, which is so strapped for resources that it can’t afford to say what the hell they are referring to exactly, won’t specify what kind of laws, where, and what specifically to avoid.

Because it can’t. In fact, if you go to the Travel Advisory page for Canada it gives a green light to travel, with nothing but normal cautions–suggesting that NBC Out may be making a mountain out of a molehill. After all, it says “check local laws” for everything, not just for “queer” issues.

I suppose that it is conceivable that they are warning drag queens not to disrobe in front of toddlers or something, although that seems like solid advice whenever and wherever you are.

This “travel advisory” exists for one reason, and one reason only: so that stories like this get written and circulated, allowing the Left to then claim that the US has so many hateful conservatives that other countries view us as unsafe. You can be assured that this “travel advisory” will wind up in many campaign advertisements next year, as it is intended to.

Lending weight to this interpretation is NBC Out’s framing:

The Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ advocacy organization in the U.S., has declared a national state of emergency, citing the proliferation of legislation in state capitols aimed at regulating the lives of queer people.

The U.S. embassy in Ottawa did not have an immediate comment

See?! Canada backs the Human Rights Campaign’s claim that anybody to the Left of Mussolini is at risk in America! The Nazis are coming.

The Left has been engaged in this sort of BS a lot in recent years. Just recently Florida was singled out as dangerous for gays and lesbians because of Ron DeSantis. They are leaning hard into this “Red States are all about killing you” meme. It is ridiculous.
