Sunday morning talking heads

The usual political suspects are booked this morning but the Sunday shows will spend most of their time covering the hellstorm that descended on Florida overnight, needless to say. FEMA chief Brock Long was booked to talk Hurricane Irma with “Fox News Sunday” as of Saturday morning; he’s apt to turn up on other shows as well, especially if Irma’s track ends up taking it directly over major cities like Tampa. Florida Sen. Bill Nelson is set for “Face the Nation” to discuss the damage and recovery efforts to come, and Marco Rubio will probably make an appearance somewhere on television.

Amid the Irma chitchat, John McCain will be on “State of the Union” to discuss passing a DREAM amnesty and the prospects for a last-minute ObamaCare repeal-and-replace bill proposed by Bill Cassidy and Lindsey Graham. And Bernie Sanders will sit down with the “Meet the Press,” ostensibly to chat about single-payer and a DREAM bill but mostly to see if Chuck Todd can bait him into taking potshots at Hillary Clinton as her book tour begins. The full line-up is at the AP.
