Well, you have to at least give Keith Ellison a bit of credit. He has admitted that Somali gangs are violent and a danger to the rest of Minnesota.
That's the first and last time I will give him credit for anything, and it's not like he is doing anything about it except negotiating with admittedly violent gang members to avoid a threatened gang war during Minnesota's "Great Get Together" at the State Fair this year.

It is absurd to see government officials acting as if they have secured peace by negotiating with gang leaders as if they are legitimate diplomatic counterparts. The idea that Keith Ellison and the Ramsey County Attorney can simply extract a pinky-promise from a few “top guys” to keep the State Fair safe is a complete farce.
Even if those specific individuals stay away, the structure of these groups ensures that the chaos will continue unabated; the rank-and-file members, who are the ones actually causing the mayhem, have no incentive to listen to a deal made for the sake of political optics.
𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 to treat violent Somali Muslim gangs like a constituency that can be reasoned with, rather than a criminal element that requires firm, consistent enforcement of the law. You can bet that come opening day, the trouble will be exactly where it has always been, regardless of what was signed in a courtroom.
For some reason I cannot fathom, Minnesota has the best-attended state fair (by daily attendance, not total attendees, where it is barely beaten by Texas) in the country. More than two million people attend over 12 days, and for an agoraphobic like me, it is a little slice of hell.
Still, it is considered one of the great wonders of living in Minnesota, where you can see some of the fattest people on earth chow down on some of the greasiest food that mankind has created. You can fight with your neighbors to pay outrageous amounts of money to park on the lawns of people who live near the fair, and stick around for evenings in which cover bands and aged-out rockers croon 80s tunes.
Oh, and you can witness gang wars taking place before you.
It turns out that Minnesotans prefer their gang wars to take place away from the Alligator on a Stick, so this year Keith Ellison has tried to negotiate a truce between rival Somali gangs who planned to use the fair as their personal shooting gallery.

The idea first came up earlier this month, when Ellison filed a lawsuit to keep the gangs off the fairgrounds. I'm not sure how he planned to enforce a court order, given the sheer number of visitors to the Fair, but this being an election year, Ellison figured that making the attempt to keep the gang wars away from the normies.

He linked these groups to roughly 14 homicides and over 100 shootings over a 2 year span and said they are not motivated by money or drug trafficking. They are filming violent acts for social media and getting into feuds online
Somalis, imams, and local politicians have criticized Fletcher for singling out the Somali community saying it promotes harmful stereotypes and fuels anti-Somali rhetoric.
Strongly worded letters and meetings with criminals seem to be the thing these days because enforcing the law and throwing the book at criminals is considered outré by the smart set. It is racist or something, and we can't have that.
By now, most people in the country know about the Somali fraud problems in Minnesota, and somewhat fewer know that Ellison was an enabler of that fraud.
But relatively few know that fraud is just the tip of the iceberg. We have imported the third world and become the third world.

So now our state officials, who did nothing to stop the Somali fraud, are taking baby steps to keep the Somali violence away from the voters.
Not to end the violence, of course, because that would be ethnocentric. Just to contain it.

A sheriff just exposed 300 of these youths on a July 4 crime spree with zero real consequences.
This isn’t “diversity.” It’s demographic replacement and imported barbarism.
Our politicians knew the risks. They just didn’t care about WE THE PEOPLE.
Still, our politicians insist that Somalis are an important part of the fabric of Minnesota, as Minnesotan as butter sculptures and seed art, so little is done to curb the problem.
Except to sit down and beg them not to scare the white voters during a campaign.
