Rashida Tlaib: 'If You Want to Be Louder, Vote Uncommitted'

Joe Biden has serious problems with Michigan voters. The "Uncommitted" effort is taking hold in the lead-up to the Michigan Democrat primary.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib is leading the effort to encourage Muslim voters and others to forget about supporting Joe Biden in the primary. Instead of supporting Biden, she wants Democrat primary voters to vote uncommitted.

It's early voting time in Michigan. On Saturday, Tlaib was outside a polling place, a civic center, and urged Michigan Democrats to show Biden they condemn his support of Israel in the Israel-Hamas war. The uncommitted movement tracks with her recent votes in Congress. She and fellow Squad member Rep.Cori Bush (D-MO) voted against banning Hamas terrorists from entering the United States. Tlaib was the only vote in the House to refuse to condemn the rape of women by Hamas.

She said the best way to 'get loud' is to vote uncommitted. She demanded a ceasefire and stated she was hoping to build a voting bloc. "We want to support life." Ironic. When she said that, I thought except for the life of the unborn. She tosses around the word genocide unironically, too, since it is Hamas who commits genocide, not Israel.

The Muslim Democrat Mayor of Dearborn is on board with voting uncommitted. Two dozen local officials have launched "Listen to Michigan," an effort to get voters to vote "uncommitted" in the primary election. Biden has lost so much support among the Muslim and Arab American communities in Michigan - a large voting bloc - that he has sent members of his administration to meet with those voters. Trump is leading Biden in Michigan if the polls are to be believed.

The Listen to Michigan campaign is made up of more than 30 Michigan officials who have pledged to vote “uncommitted” in the state’s presidential primary on February 27 to demand Biden support a ceasefire.

“It is also important to create a voting bloc,” Tlaib said in the Saturday video. “Something that is a bullhorn to say, enough is enough. We don’t want a country that supports wars and bombs and destruction. We want to support life. We want to stand up for every single life killed in Gaza.”

Michigan Muslim and Arab American voters aren't so easily swayed by meetings with Biden officials. Some were discontented with what Biden administration officials told them. A spokesperson for Listen to Michigan called the recent meetings a failure. Team Biden wouldn't agree to call for an immediate ceasefire as the Muslim voters want.

The loss of support from Michigan Muslim and Arab American voters is one reason that the president has gone wobbly with his support of Israel in the Israel-Hamas war. Biden started strong when the Israelis began to respond to the massacres by Hamas on October 7, 2023. The Hamas caucus in the House continues to demand a ceasefire. Biden is worried that he won't do well in Michigan, a state he needs in the November general election. So now we see things like Biden standing with Jordan's king and chastising Israel for defending itself. He said Israel's actions in Gaza have been "over the top."

It's all about votes for our demented president. It's bad enough he looks feeble domestically. It is dangerous that he looks weak on the world stage. Who is afraid of Joe Biden? Not Putin. Not Hamas, a proxy of Iran. Does anyone think Xi is worried about Joe Biden? Biden banned government electronic devices from using TikTok and now his campaign is using it to attract young voters. You can't make this stuff up.

Tlaib and the Hamas caucus want Israel to retreat. The only way that Israel can stop fighting is when they destroy Hamas. Israel can no longer have Hamas living on its border. Joe Biden should put America first and America's loyal ally in the Middle East by stiffening his spine in his support of Israel. Instead, he is more concerned about his re-election. This is a disgrace. Joe Biden is not fit to be president.

The Michigan primary is on February 27. We'll see how the uncommitted movement does with Michigan voters.
