MSNBC Political Analyst Throws E. Jean Carroll a Victory Party and Her Colleagues Celebrate Carroll As an Icon

E. Jean Carroll is planning big things with her newly-acquired wealth. While she waits for her payday, she’s celebrating with her pals in the media.

If you ever doubted that Carroll’s lawsuits against Donald Trump were not politically-motivated, just look at how she is conducting herself. Her behavior should be under as much scrutiny as Donald Trump’s. Her behavior after the obscene monetary judgement against Trump in her defamation lawsuit against him has been nothing short of wacky.

Trump was found liable in Carroll’s original lawsuit. It was a sexual assault case and he was ordered to pay her $5M. A guilty verdict was expected since the case was heard in New York City. The more we know about the original lawsuit, the more it reeks of a political set-up. The case was over 30 years old and long out of its statute of limitations. It was a civil, not a criminal case. She didn’t come forward until 2019 when Trump was president. She claimed she never came forward before that because she didn’t want to be treated as other women had been treated.

Since the accusation fell outside of the statue of limitations, she was able to move forward because New York passed the Adult Survivors Act. It allowed victims a one-year window to file a sexual assault lawsuit over older cases. So, she wound up in a Manhattan courtroom facing off against Trump. The window allowed lawsuits to come forward no matter when the assault took place. It was a limited time action.

E. Jean Carroll admitted she helped New York Democrats change the law.

After the judgement, Trump took to social media to blast out his thoughts, as he is prone to do. The 80-year-old Carroll again sued Trump, this time for defamation. That resulted in the $83.3 million victory. Everyone knows this is wildly out of bounds but it’s against Trump so the Trump-deranged left is giddy with how it all turned out. No one is more excited than Carroll. She loves the attention and the spotlight. Her new friends in the media are helping her do a victory lap. One MSNBC political analyst threw her a party at an upscale Manhattan bar this week.

MSNBC’s Molly Jong-Fast threw a victory celebration party Tuesday in her honor where Carroll was hailed as an icon. Lots of liberal media was invited to party along with their new hero.

Jong-Fast’s MSNBC colleague Lawrence O’Donnell was among those paying tribute alongside former Saturday Night Live producer Marci Klein, New York Times opinion writer Lydia Polgreen and Sarah Ellison of the Washington Post.

‘She seemed delighted and vindicated. She was in awe and victorious,’ one guest reported.

‘She looked like a hero. It’s great to see women winning the day,’ added another.

Lydia Polgreen of the New York Times, former ABC White House correspondent and current Puck columnist Tara Palmeri , Studio 360 podcast host Kurt Andersen, and Rolling Stone editor-in-chief Noah Shachtman were all there. Shachtman’s publication had just run a story claiming Trump doesn’t care if Taylor Swift endorses Biden for president because he believes he is more popular than Swift. I’ll say that if Joe Biden is depending on a pop star’s endorsement for his re-election, he’s in more trouble than we think.

Trump responded to the defamation verdict on Truth Social.

‘They have taken away all First Amendment Rights,’ he wrote on Truth Social, ‘THIS IS NOT AMERICA!’

‘I am in the process, along with my team, of interviewing various law firms to represent me in an Appeal of one of the most ridiculous and unfair Witch Hunts our Country has ever seen,’ he wrote yesterday.

‘The defamation Sham presided over by a Clinton appointed, highly partisan, Trump Hating Judge, Lewis Kaplan, who was, together with certain other Radical Left Democrat Judges, one of the most partisan and out of control activists that I have ever appeared before.’

He had to be careful not to take swipes at Carroll because she is itching to sue him again. She believes herself to be a Trump-slayer. She certainly had plenty of help along the way, including from the state with changing a law that allowed her to sue Trump in the first place. She’s waiting for Trump to say something against her so she can start the defamation process all over again.

Trump will appeal. He is looking to hire a new lawyer for the appeal. His attorney, Alina Habba, ran into a set-back when she had to withdraw one of her key grounds for appeal.

She had described the fact that judge Lewis Kaplan had worked at the same law firm in the early 1990s as Carroll’s attorney Roberta Kaplan, no relation, as an ‘insane conflict of interest’.

But she folded after Roberta Kaplan hit back, rejecting the claim and threatening professional sanctions against her for creating ‘a false narrative of judicial bias’.

‘Since Ms. Kaplan has now denied that there was ever a mentor-mentee relationship between herself and Your Honor, this issue has seemingly been resolved,’ Habba wrote to the judge.’

Oops. Habba has been criticized for being less than the sharpest tool in the shed as she defends Trump in court. She’s embraced her new celebrity status. There are bikini photos of her online and she’s Trump’s guest for big entertainment events. Kaplan threatened to seek sanctions against Habba over the conflict of interest claim.

The party at the bar came after several media opportunities for Carroll. She pledges to spend money on anything Trump hates, as she said on ABC’s Good Morning America on Sunday. Lawrence O’Donnell said on his MSNBC show that Trump could be on his way to bankruptcy. The civil suits over January 6 and his New York fraud trial could cost him $1 billion. ‘That could be the smallest debt Donald Trump owes, and just the beginning of Donald Trump’s collapse into bankruptcy,’ he told viewers.

That’s the point – O’Donnell voiced the hopes of those who are trying to destroy Trump personally and politically. They want to bankrupt him, take away his businesses, and keep him off the general election ballot in November. There is one more point to be made – MSNBC’s Jong-Fast just happened to be named as a MSNBC political analyst on Wednesday. She is the daughter of feminist author Erica Jong and a longtime political activist. She introduced Carrol to her legal team. She described Carroll’s legal award as ‘gratifying’, claiming the former president should have been ‘kicked back into the gutters of reality television’ rather than winning the White House.’

No conflict of interest there, right? I’m sure her political analysis will be fair and balanced as we move through the political season up to the November election. Good Lord. Without Trump-bashing, is there even an MSNBC anymore?

The ultimate cringeworthy media appearance by Carroll happened on Monday when she appeared on Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show with her attorney. An unhinged Carroll was asked how she would spend her money and she told Maddow that first she would take Maddow shopping for ‘completely new wardrobes, new shoes’ and asked if Maddow wanted a ‘penthouse.’ Even Carroll’s attorney was cringing.

She shouldn’t spend her money before she sees a check. She may or may not end up with all that money in the end. What this case did was to expose the corruption involved in the politics present in the left’s attempts to take Trump down and keep him out of the White House.
