Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) is a member of The Squad. He is sounding the alarm that the Biden border crisis makes Democrats look bad. And, Democrats have at least four seats to win in the next election.

At least he is being honest, I guess. He is saying the quiet part out loud. Democrats don’t care about the illegal immigration problems being shoved on our country due to the porous southern border. Bowman doesn’t care about the struggles of border towns that try to keep up with the flood of illegal immigrants coming into their communities. It is all about the next election and Biden’s dereliction of duty to secure the border is making Democrats look bad. The optics are bad. New York City’s inability to take care of illegal aliens, though the mayor claimed the city is a sanctuary city, may cost Democrats seats in 2024.

Now that the illegal immigration problem has hit New York City, he wants Biden to show some leadership. Is he new here? When has Biden shown leadership on anything, much less securing the southern border. A nation without borders is not a sovereign nation. Biden doesn’t care. He sees future Democrat voters and a “transformation’ of our country.

“We need leadership from President Biden, period. We need that leadership right here in New York State, because you know, New York State is struggling,” Bowman said, according to a video captured by NY1. “We’re struggling to provide housing and all the support that the migrants need.”

Republicans currently hold a 222-212 majority in the House, and there is one vacancy.

“Here’s the thing, Democrats are looking bad right now in New York State, and that’s unacceptable when we have to win at least four congressional seats to take back the House,” Bowman said. “So hopefully the president is listening.”

No, Joe Biden isn’t listening, Jamaal, but we are. Bowman is one of the biggest progressive hypocrites around. He loves to find a camera and rant about whatever he’s disturbed about that day. And he blames Republicans for everything. He actually blames Republicans for the lack of immigration reform coming out of Congress. You can’t make this stuff up.

Democrat Mayor Eric Adams’ office claims that more than 93,000 illegal aliens have arrived in New York City since last spring. City resources are strained. Adams wants a billion dollars from the federal government to help out the city. The man who once bragged that all are welcome in New York City, regardless of legal status, now says there is no more room in the city for them.

93,000 illegals since last spring? Texas gets more than that every single month. Funny, I’ve never heard a peep from Bowman and The Squad about federal help for Texas. Or Arizona. Or any specific border community. Nope. Just handle it on your own, Texas. And that is what Texas has been doing. The Biden administration has been fighting Texas since Governor Abbott began Operation Lone Star in March 2021. Maybe Adams can start his own initiative and protect his city.

Adams and other Democrats want Biden to declare an emergency and start the flow of federal dollars. Color me skeptical. If Biden starts to help sanctuary cities and border states that have been left on their own, it would mean he would have to admit he’s been very wrong in his approach to dealing with the southern border. He’s not going to to do that, especially with his re-election coming up.

So, yes, Rep. Bowman, it does look bad for Democrats. Don’t look for sympathy from those of us who have been talking about the Biden border crisis on the regular. Biden doesn’t care. It’s up to Mayor Adams to handle his city. He’s on his own, just like Governor Abbott. And, Governor Abbott will continue to send buses of illegal aliens to New York to remind them that this is what they wanted.
