Hillary: No, I'm not ever going to "be out of the game of politics"

Hillary Clinton has a book to promote and apparently ABC is playing host. Hillary and Louise Penny, a Canadian author of mystery novels, appeared on Good Morning America and The View this morning. Their book, “State of Terror,” will be published by Simon & Schuster on Oct. 12. Louise Penny is listed as the co-author. Hillary Rodham Clinton always gets top billing.

I didn’t watch either program, as a matter of fact, I don’t remember the last time I did watch either show, but the quotes in some reports of the appearances are pure gold. It’s all classic Hillary. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Hillary is never going away. She is going to pop up on television screens and in written articles until the day she dies, offering up her hot takes on current events. And, she’s still trashing Donald Trump, the guy who beat her like a drum in 2016.

This is where I remind you that one of the co-hosts of Good Morning America is George Stephanopoulos, former Bill Clinton presidential campaign adviser, White House communications director, and senior advisor for policy and strategy. The connection to Team Clinton paved the way for Stephanopoulos to enter network news, so it’s really not unusual that Hillary went to ABC for today’s book promotion. He did not do the interview, though.

During her interview on GMA, the hyperbole included that she isn’t going anywhere because democracy is at stake. “I will never be out of the game of politics,” Clinton said, adding, “I’m not going to be running for anything,” but said she feels “our democracy is at stake.”

“I really feel our democracy is at stake, and there’s many reasons for that,” she said. “Some of them we saw on the screen with the insurrection, some of them because of the revelations about Facebook that creates a world of disinformation instead of, you know, one that we can agree on what the facts are.”

“I really am worried about what’s happening at home and around the world,” she said. “So, I’m never going to get out of, you know, being involved, worried and hopefully, trying to help in some way.”

Speaking of disinformation, how about the bogus Russiagate story and the Steele dossier paid for by her campaign? The Russian connection was Hillary’s campaign all along, not Trump’s. It is another important reminder that whatever Democrats are accusing Republicans of doing is really what they (Democrats) are doing. They are masters of gaslighting, including Hillary.

The book is described as a political thriller, following the appointment of a woman as secretary of state, a new president, who is a “political enemy” of hers, and how a series of terrorist attacks prompt an “international chess game” involving countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and even “the Russian mob.”

Clinton, during the interview on GMA Monday, said she used her “experience to inform the character” but said she was “really inspired” by her friend Ellen Tauscher, a former member of Congress who became the undersecretary for arms control. Tauscher died in May of 2019.

Her first foray into fiction? Really? I’m old enough to remember it was Hillary who said on the TODAY Show in 1998 that journalists should look into the vast right-wing conspiracy that was out to get her husband, and her, too, especially over corrupt business deals in Arkansas and Bill’s inability to keep his zipper zipped. That phrase wasn’t an original from her. Hillary hasn’t been known as a person who offers up new ideas. It was used in 1991 in the Detroit News in a story about Margaret Thatcher and in 1995 in an article about the Oklahoma City bombing. Hillary has been caught in her own false narratives over and over again in her decades in the public eye.

Why would Hillary go off and retire, maybe live her best life as a retired woman who enjoys the company of her daughter and grandchildren? She’s never done that. She rode Bill’s coattails into her own political career. She thinks she’s the smartest person in the room and we are all in need of her political opinions. Hillary told the ladies at The View that we are in “the midst of a constitutional crisis.” The Deplorables and You-Know-Who are the reason for the constitutional crisis.

“That gives me absolutely no satisfaction in saying this, because I think we’re at a very dangerous, continuing high-level attack on the legitimacy of our government and the election of our president. Obviously, our former president is not only behind it, he incited it, he encouraged it and he continues to do so,” Clinton said in reference to the insurrection at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Not all of us buy into the whole constitutional crisis thing. We think the constitution is working just fine and our country is strong. If she wants to talk about those who attack the legitimacy of our government, all she has to do is look in a mirror. She and DNC wrote their own fictional tale of Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election and Trump was Putin’s poodle. It was all a lie meant to overturn the election. Hillary didn’t concede the election until many hours after the election was called for Trump and she has been bitter ever since. Trump, who used to be a social acquaintance of Bill and Hillary’s – they were guests at his and Melania’s wedding – suddenly was a stooge for Putin. That’s the story she was selling the American people and our international allies.

Hillary is in favor of ending the filibuster in order to ram through Joe Biden’s attempt to turn America into a socialist experiment. She slammed red states in a recent appearance at the Atlantic Festival, too. She and another woman who refused to concede her political race, Stacey Abrams, like to whine about access to voting yet each recent election cycle has brought record numbers of voters. Hillary is a perpetual victim.

Clinton recently said new and often restrictive voting legislation enacted in Republican-led states is “like the frog dropped into the water. It’s boiling.”

“People are still arguing about stuff that is important, but not as fundamental as whether or not our democracy will be broken and then taken over and minority rule will be what we live under,” she added onstage at the Atlantic Festival.

Hillary continues to say that the GOP acts like a cult, which is rich since she was a part of the Obama administration. The Cult of Obama ushered in any cultism in the current Republican Party.

Depending on her health, we will likely have Hillary cackling and opining in our ears for many years to come. I hope she gives Louise Penny at least a little time to speak during interviews. The book is being described as being patterned after Hillary’s career, so, Louise has her work cut out for her.
