President Trump and Rosie O'Donnell Trade Insults

President Trump's dislike of Rosie O'Donnell is both longstanding and well known. We all remember his comment during the debate in 2015.

And here we are 10 years later and nothing has changed. Wednesday, President Trump posted this on Truth Social.

The same photo also got posted on the official White House site.

This is a pretty bonkers thing to appear on the official White House account. The Free Press' Nellie Bowles jokingly suggested Trump is acting like the first gay president.

He’s petty. He’s obsessed with women who haven’t been famous for decades. He took the time (or had a staffer take the time) to digitally alter a photo of Ms. O’Donnell to make her extra heavy. The official White House X/Twitter account shared the same thing. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Trump’s our first gay president (Obama was the first Jewish president, but I’ll save that one for another day). Men posting on social media is already gay-adjacent behavior. But posting a Photoshopped image of Rosie O’Donnell with some catty commentary about deportations? That’s monkeypox. Get on PreP.

Rosie, who moved to Ireland back in January seemingly because of Trump's reelection, responded to his jabs.

O'Donnell appeared on ex-CNN anchor and journalist Jim Acosta's podcast on Thursday, asked whether she was aware of Trump's newest threats sent in her direction...

"It's the Epstein files, it's the testifying of the survivors that he tried to cover up with the planes, with the flyover," O'Donnell told Acosta. "It's unbelievable how obvious he is about everything that he does. Could you say, 'I'm guilty without saying I'm guilty,' more than having a flyover during their press conference?

"The time is up and he knows it. He's like a cornered rat and he doesn't know where to go or what to do. So, he goes into his bag of tricks, and one of his bag of tricks is, let's make fun of Rosie O'Donnell and threaten her—even though he's threatened me before but never done anything."

Here's a segment of the interview:

As you should know by now, Rosie O'Donnell seems to believe every conspiracy theory that comes here way. Snopes, a site that has no love for Trump, looked at the claim that Trump planned a flyover to silence Epstein's victims and found it wanting.

It was true that, as speakers stood at the podium, loud jet noises briefly interrupted their comments...

However, the event carried on. The White House said Trump had ordered the military flyover to mark a visit by Poland President Karol Nawrocki, which was occurring at the same time as the news conference...

A White House official told Snopes in an email that Trump had ordered the ceremonial flyover to mark Nawrocki's visit. "It was at POTUS' direction," the official wrote, adding that the flyover was a tribute to a Polish fighter pilot who died in an August crash.

If you're so inclined you can watch a video of the full press conference which was about an hour long. The jets seem to have briefly interrupted the press conference twice for about a total of 30-40 seconds. So, as usual, Rosie it a nitwit.

But she went beyond that and suggested that Trump's near-assassination in Butler, PA was also staged or something. "His ear miraculously regenerated," she shouted at Acosta who seemed to find the whole thing amusing.

The insinuation, that Trump wasn't really shot, is another conspiracy theory which has spread widely on the left. Trump wasn't shot is the new version of fire can't melt steel (which was also dumb). Here's the AP fact check of the specific conspiracy theory Rosie is pushing here.

CLAIM: A photo taken on Monday shows former President Donald Trump with no damage to his right ear, contrary to reports that it was injured in an attempted assassination on Saturday.

THE FACTS: The photo was taken on Sept. 17, 2022, at a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, for then-U.S. Senate candidate JD Vance. Trump appeared at the Republican National Convention Monday night with a large, white bandage on his right ear. Myriad photos show his ear bloodied after a shooter opened fire at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, over the weekend.

Social media users are sharing the old photo as new, with some falsely presenting it as evidence that Trump was not injured by the gunfire.

“The top part of his ear grew back,” reads one X post from Monday night that had received approximately 40,000 likes and 13,200 shares as of Tuesday...

Another X post from Monday night states: “This image of Trump was taken today. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his ear, and it has zero damage, FROM A BULLET. Everything about Trump is a con or a grift.” It received approximately 26,000 likes and 8,600 shares.

But the photo was taken nearly two years ago.

I'm still not a fan of using the official White House X account to bash someone with a photoshopped picture, but O'Donnell is so toxic and so obnoxiously dumb that it's impossible to feel any sympathy for her. The collective IQ of the US went up a bit when she left for Ireland.
