You no doubt remember this from last week:

Not only were the cars set on fire, investigators said they believed the arsonist also fired a gun into the cars. In addition, the word "Resist" was spray painted on the front of the Tesla center.

Today, police announced the arrest of a suspect in that case. His name is Paul Hyon Kim and he is a videographer and filmmaker.

A man police said set multiple Tesla vehicles on fire using Molotov cocktails has been arrested, according to court and jail records.

Paul Hyon Kim, 36, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Wednesday on a total of 15 counts, including suspicion of arson, destroying or injure real or personal property of another, value $5,000 or greater, possessing/disposing of a fire device, all felonies, and misdemeanor discharging a firearm into a vehicle.

So who is Paul Kim? He's a left-winger who seems to fit every stereotype of the person you might imagine would be behind an arson attack on a Tesla center.

People diving into his social media accounts have found support for various causes, from BLM to defunding the police to Palestine.

Here's a scroll through what appears to be his Facebook account. It's nothing but left-wing politics.

As mentioned above, police just held a press conference on the case during which they provided photos and previously unknown details of the crime, including the fact that Kim shot out the surveillance cameras before torching the cars.

Police identified Kim based on very limited information about his car and general description. They arrested him Wednesday night and then got a search warrant for his cars and apartment. They also mentioned that they had collected DNA at the scene of the crime. That was compared to a swab of Paul Kim and found to be a match. In addition the search of his apartment turned up a backpack with the same pink paint on it that was used to spray paint the front doors of the Tesla center.

In addition a litany of state charges, Paul Kim is also facing federal charges that haven't been made public yet (they should be later today). It's likely that this dope is going to spend quite a few years in prison for this stunt.

Here's the press conference. I'll update this story below if more announcements are made.
