Jason Billingsley, 32, was apprehended on Wednesday by cops at a train station around 30 miles from where Pava LaPere, 26, was found bludgeoned to death.
Billingsley was tracked by law enforcement to the MARC Train Station on Laurel-Bowie Road in Bowie, Prince George’s County, at 11.10pm. …
Billingsley’s mom, Scarlett, earlier apologized to the victim’s family – and said she doesn’t understand what could have motivated her son if he is responsible.
Her son has a sordid history of sexual crimes, including strangling and raping a woman at knifepoint which landed him with a 30-year prison sentence.
[John wrote about this case last night. Looks like they nabbed Billingsley less than two hours later. Make sure you read it all, because this is a man who shouldn’t have been out in the first place and should have been arrested almost immediately afterward for failing to abide by the terms of his release. — Ed]
