On the back of the float is a large sculpture of a bald eagle flanked by a rotating sunburst, symbolizing freedom. In the front is a statue of Reagan, a replica of the one that currently stands in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C.

The words “Inspired Freedom Changed the World” appear under Reagan’s name and likeness…

“Of all the floats I get to design, this is my favorite. He was just a great man,” Armstrong said as she added various orchids to a large floral display on the Reagan float.
