Obama’s press secretary, Robert Gibbs, has also sought to dismiss the issue as “fictional nonsense,” suggesting the so-called birthers would never be happy with any evidence. Numerous courts have also rejected suits seeking to challenge Obama and force the certificate’s disclosure.
Tuesday Hawaii’s Legislature approved a bill that would allow state officials to make a surgical exception in the state’s public records law allowing the state to ignore any such repeated requests, meaning, of course, those for the sitting Democratic president. Since not too many other Hawaiian babies have been involved in such stubborn situations.
The exception measure now goes to the state’s first female governor, Linda Lingle who was — she has proof — born in St. Louis.
And — oh look! — Lingle is a Republican.
