Welcome to our VIP feature for Hot Air as well as a members-only show in the Hughniverse! Duane Patterson and I now are doing a Week in Review show for Friday evenings, exclusive to members in both platforms. Duane has been the Generalissimo behind the Hugh Hewitt Show for more than two decades, and we have partnered on weekly commentary since 2007. And don't miss Duane's new podcast series and platform, Duane's World!

What stories topped your priority lists this week? Duane and I have Wintermaggedon 2026 on our minds, but we spend much of our time in Minnesota, where it will look like ... January. Will Don Lemon get arrested in the church invasion he "covered"? At some point, almost certainly, but we discuss the two main options that Pam Bondi and Harmeet Dhillon have in bypassing the magistrate's refusal to sign off on an arrest warrant yesterday. We also discuss the Klan Act of 1870, what it meant at the time, and why it applies today.

Also: What will Amy Klobuchar's election filing mean in Minnesota? Will Michelle Tafoya benefit? And we finish by urging our viewers and listeners to take Wintermaggedon seriously.

By the way, the book related to the Klan Act that I could not recall during the conversation is Freedom's Detective: The Secret Service, the Ku Klux Klan and the Man Who Masterminded America's First War on Terror by Charles Lane. I highly recommend it.

Be sure to watch it all, and extend the conversation in the comments!
