The Ed Morrissey Show: Filling in for Roger Hedgecock

Instead of the usual Ed Morrissey Show, I’m guest-hosting tonight for Roger Hedgecock on his Radio America network show!  The show airs from 6-9 pm ET, 3-6 pm PT, and like my usual daytime show will also be live-streamed right here at Hot Air.  We’re assembling a great guest lineup, but we will definitely talk with Tuesday favorite Andrew Malcolm of the Los Angeles Times, and with advice columnist Amy Alkon about her traumatic experience with TSA — and why one TSA agent has filed a lawsuit against her.

Tonight’s show and its dynamic chatroom can be seen on the permanent TEMS page — be sure to join us, and don’t forget to keep up with the debate on my Facebook page, too!

Marizela Perez has been missing in the Seattle area for more than six months now. Marizela’s case has a connection here at Hot Air, as she is the cousin of the Boss Emeritus, Michelle Malkin. Michelle is trying to spread the word through Facebook and Q13Fox/KCPQ in Seattle. We want to encourage prayers for Marizela’s family, and also try to reach anyone in the area who knows where Marizela might be and ask them to contact the police.

The search has its own website now, Find Marizela, for the latest in the efforts to bring Marizela home. There is also a fund for the family to keep the search efforts going. Be sure to check there and at Michelle’s site for further developments, and keep the family in your prayers.

America’s Most Wanted is now on the case, too.

Michelle offered an update earlier this month:

Though you see me in the political fight day in and day out, I remind you that we are all defined by much, much more than our politics.

Remember that.

Now, someone out there know something. If you are reading this, please have the decency to break your silence and help us.

Imagine the terror, heartache, heartbreak, agony, and helplessness of a mother and father living with unfathomable holes in their hearts and souls as they wonder what happened to the teenage daughter they loved, nurtured, doted on, worried about, and sent off to college with the highest of hopes and dreams.

Vanished. Without a trace.

We are currently working on legal strategies to try and obtain information from Marizela’s Internet/social networking accounts that the SPD refuses to share with her parents. It is a long shot, but we’ll leave no stone unturned.

Friends and strangers continue to spread the word. I heard from a reader who saw someone holding a “Find Marizela” sign in NYC in front of one of the major morning show studios last month. Other readers have held prayer vigils and continued to post her missing person flyers at work and on school grounds across the country.
