How does a man who claimed he would restore our standing with our friends around the world greet one of our closest military allies? Actually, Canadian PM Stephen Harper should consider himself lucky not to be stuck with Joe Biden again. At least Harper didn’t have to put up with Hillary Clinton’s lectures. This time, it looks like Barack Obama decided to deliver the lecture himself:
The Canadian papers had a few things to say about this, but it’s hard to know for certain what this depicts. Obama could have been discussing the totally awesome humility he shares with Australian PM Kevin Rudd, and Harper may have just felt humbled to be in the presence of someone so, er, humble. Yeah, that’s probably it.
