Liberals love to talk about how they are beyond materialism, caring about important things like love, compassion, and Haitians who need a new place to stalk cats and dogs for food.
But the truth is very different. The argument for being a DINK, or a couple without kids, is all about having more free time and money to do things you really want to do, like go to Costco, travel, and experiment at swingers clubs and sex dungeons. Maybe throw in a week or three in a polycule, and you have a full life, right?
Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of notoriously virtuous parents Bill and Hillary, whose fortune was greatly enhanced by robbing Haitians of aid to recover from an earthquake, suggests that abortion until birth advocates make a new pitch to pro-lifers: having babies is bad for the bottom line, and killing them is great for the economy.
I’d rather have the babies, thanks, you total ghoul. https://t.co/Yhxjym6Bn7

It makes sense from the Organized Crime Democrats' point of view, at least. They are obsessed with climbing the economic ladder.
If you can’t convince someone to support abortion with bodily rights arguments, try pushing the money angle, Chelsea Clinton told a group of abortion activists Saturday.
CNS News reports Clinton claimed the infamous U.S. Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade was a good thing, not only because it gave women the “dignity to make our own choices,” but also because it led to a $3.5 trillion boost to America’s economy.
“It is not a disconnected fact … that American women entering the labor force from 1973 to 2009 added three and a half trillion dollars to our economy. Right?” Clinton said during a “Rise Up for Roe” rally protesting U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
“The net, new entrance of women – that is not disconnected from the fact that Roe became the law of the land in January of 1973,” she continued.
Clinton said the money argument may convince some people to support Roe, which led to the legalized killing of unborn babies for basically any reason up to birth. Since the 1973 ruling, about 60 million unborn babies have been legally aborted in America.
I'm old-fashioned; I neither think that getting richer as a country is worth the cost to our souls that killing babies entails, nor am I certain that the vast majority of people think of their jobs as careers, but as necessary evils we endure in order to live decent lives. Perhaps that's why it's common for people to remind each other that on their deathbeds they will not spend their lives regretting that they didn't spend more time at work.
Ah, I miss that cubicle said no person ever.
The percentage of people who have fulfilling "careers" along the lines that liberals like to sell women is relatively low, although admittedly far from zero. It is also well understood that men tend to be more career-driven than women, although you find many more stories in popular culture about people stuck in dead-end jobs than wildly successful people who can't wait to get back to the office.
In any case, the number of people I have met who regretted having a child is...zero. I am certain they exist, because among 8 billion people you can find a few million of anything, but the percentage of people who regret having families is small.
So, making the case that killing babies is good for the economy or one's personal net worth is unlikely to move pro-lifers from their commitment to life, and thank God that it won't. If you are susceptible to the argument that killing people is a profitable enterprise, you are likely a liberal or Canadian doctor, and I am not sure which is worse.
