Hasan Piker Says It Out Loud: DSA Practicing Taqiyya

I didn't wake up this morning thinking, "I plan to write a series on the DSA."

Really. You may not believe it, but with six posts to write per day, only the first post is pre-planned, and that only because I am not a morning person, so I write it the evening before.

You should (not) see me in the morning. I am grouchy, and my wife is chatty. Opposites may attract, but we also annoy each other.

But since this is Francesca Hong's coronation day, it's impossible not to be fascinated and preoccupied by the DSA takeover of the Democrat Party. So much so that both Ed and I have written about it from different angles, and we likely will have a lot more to write about her in the coming months if the polls are even within 15-20 points of accuracy. Which, of course, is not a solid bet.

As you have gathered, even the DSA candidates in purple areas have had to adjust their "messaging" to smooth out the diamond-sharp rough edges, and their defenders are out there claiming that they are no longer as insane as they were 5-10 minutes ago.

This is the communist equivalent of Taqiyya, the Shia Muslim practice of lying to non-Muslims in order to gain dominance.

Taqiyya is not an invention of "Islamophobes." It is a literal doctrine practiced by many Islamists. It is how the 9/11 hijackers hid in plain sight and how terrorist cells try to blend in. You can shave your beards, drink alcohol, go to strip clubs, and become a dissolute Westerner as long as you are willing to kill for Allah.

The DSA has already admitted that they are not Democrats; they are just using the party as a means of getting ballot access and picking up the "Vote Blue No Matter Who" voters. And Hasan Piker, the left's favorite podcaster, is perfectly willing to go further.

Abdul El-Sayed surrogate Hasan Piker explains the importance of lying to voters:

"I think our politicians, whether they be AOC or anybody else, they're not running away from progress."

"So their pragmatism isn't to moderate on their policies. Their pragmatism is to moderate on their comms, on their communication."

He admits that El-Sayed's true beliefs are "electoral poison": "You got to moderate your message, even if you don't want to temper your movement, in order to sell it to the public."

NEW: Before launching his campaign, Abdul El-Sayed removed 100+ YouTubes from 2022-2024.  Transcripts show him floating replacing the 2nd Amendment, urging an end to July 4th fireworks, blasting GOP focus on the border.

His campaign says they “don’t reflect his beliefs today.”

"No, we don't mean what we are saying. We are just trying to fool the normies" sounds bad, but then again, most of those normies want to be fooled or simply don't care.

These are the voters who want abortion to be "safe, legal, and rare" but who vote for candidates who push abortion until birth. They say they want Voter ID, but vote for illegal aliens being registered to vote. They claim they support borders, but vote to eliminate them.

Because Trump or something.

Muslim advocates of Taqiyya understand their marks very well. They talk about Islamophobia, and liberals quake in their boots and say "Kill me then!" They would rather be dead than considered racist, sexist, or Islamophobic. They are the women who say that they believe in decarceration of murderers and rapists because the carceral state is bad. Or, worse in some ways, say that "defund the police" is a bad policy, but will back Democrats who say it because the alternative is admitting they should be Republicans.

Yuck!

Of all the DSA candidates who will be on the ballot this fall, Abdul El-Sayed is the one who is practicing both kinds of Taqiyya. He is a Muslim Brotherhood acolyte and is DSA adjacent, but he pretends he is neither. He has tried to scrub his prior presence on the web, which is now almost standard practice for these candidates if their IQ surpasses 90, which is not a safe bet for all of them.

El-Sayed’s campaign said the old clips do not reflect his current views: “Abdul is the former captain of his high school football team, loves Michigan football on Saturdays, and celebrates the Fourth of July with fireworks like the next Michigander. Cherry-picked comments from old podcasts don’t reflect his beliefs today.”

El-Sayed’s fireworks video was briefly interrupted by a message noting that it was sponsored in part by the Marguerite Casey Foundation. In reading ads for the foundation on his “America Dissected” podcast, he highlighted what he called its “cutting-edge areas of scholarship,” on “feminist prison abolition.”

Francesca Hong pivots from decarceration and defunding the police to "public safety," because everybody is for public safety, and for most people that means police and often Flock cameras, and most certainly spot shotters.

The point is to hide their true beliefs behind obfuscation and verbal tricks, in the same manner as gender surgeons talk about chopping genitals off as "medical treatments" and killer doctors talk about "compassionate care."

When your message is grotesquely evil, best to adopt a better message to appeal to people who are not sociopaths, as Independent voters are not, generally speaking.

Unfortunately, there is a very large cohort of people in the United States who don't mind being lied to, or at least not much. I still see people who have read Fauci's texts coming up with excuses for why he was right and his critics wrong. I had an argument today with a guy who maintains that the abortifacient COVID vaccine really wasn't bad for women, when even Fauci brought up the fact that it likely was.

A blue state just legalized abortion up until birth.

Surrounded by applauding women, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey signed a sweeping abortion bill Monday that removes the state’s gestational age limit, giving health care providers greater discretion to perform abortions later in pregnancy.

The law replaces the state’s previous general restriction on abortions after 24 weeks, with limited exceptions, and is set to take effect in 90 days.

Massachusetts becomes the 10th state to remove gestational age limits on abortion, according to the report.

Even if you assume that the vaccine turned out to be completely safe in pregnancy, how can one forgive a man telling women that they should take the vax even when he thought it might kill their babies? He believed that he was recommending a killer shot, and that's not so bad?

Really?

No doubt many of the people who will vote for Hong simultaneously believe her stated positions before she got into the governor's race were insane — even AOC said they were "crazy"—yet they latch onto the Taqiyya for dear life. They want to be fooled, because they want to believe that they are good people, and good people vote this way.
