Whenever a shooting happens that Democrats want to downplay, they deny the obvious. The motive of the shooter was a mystery!
We have been treated to this gaslighting once again.
The New York Times goes with the "conservative seized" framing, affirms the shooter's "gender identity," denies the obvious correlation between transgenderism and violence, and pretends throughout the piece that the shooter's motive was a "mystery."

All the Best People™ and the supposedly authoritative experts are insisting that we may never know the motives of the transgender-identified mass shooter who left a manifesto, videos including explicit threats to Trump, discussions of Queer ideology, hatred of Christianity, and a desire to strike out at his perceived enemies.

Whatever it is, it couldn't be alphabet ideology, which is all about peace, love, and understanding. Not vengeance or anything like that.
It's not just that Democrats find the association between transgenderism--at least the variety that has become an ideology rather than an illness in need of treatment--and violence inconvenient and that it needs to be buried.
No--these politicians promote that ideology. That photo is of Peggy Flanagan, Minnesota's Lieutenant Governor. It's obviously a threat.
We are being told that any suggestion that this is an anti-Catholic hate crime is absurd. It is just the Trump administration stirring the pot. After all, the motive is unknown.

Westman hits all the left-wing ideological erogenous zones. Gender ideology, hatred of Jews, anger at Trump, and anger at religious people. It is no accident that in the wake of the shooting one of the Democrat talking points was attacking prayer itself. Hatred of Christianity and faith are implicit--and becoming explicit--in their ideology.

Any sane person can, if they look at the facts and ignore the Best People™, identify the motive in 10 seconds. It doesn't take a psychologist or FBI profiler to understand what is going on--Robin Westman practically screamed why in his journal and even on the very weapons he used.

It's like saying Osama bin Laden's motives remain a mystery. FFS, give it up. Conservatives aren't "seizing" an issue--the Democrats are with their "gun control" narrative. The "motive unknown" meme is not used to cover up only Trantifa crimes. It is the go-to line whenever a leftist commits a crime. We still don't know the motives for the Trump assassin, for instance.

How else can you pull off the "Republicans seized" narrative? When the facts all point in one direction, the facts must be denied or covered up. Why did a Bernie Sanders supporter shoot up a Republican Congressional baseball game? I guess we will never know.

It's not only tiresome for us, but essential for them. They need to be able to gin up their supporters--remember how riots became public health?--while having plausible deniability when normal people start objecting.
They know EXACTLY what they are doing. The Democrats gin up the violence, and then present their policy preferences as the means to stop it. It is a kind of extortion, but it depends on having a bit of plausible deniability.

In this case, that dog won't hunt. The manifesto is out there, the photos of the guns, the rantings of the killer, and the anti-Catholicism is there for all to see. The New York Times may try to bury the truth, but it is breaking through beyond alternative media.
Will this become a "sharp as a tack" moment for the media, where their credibility takes a massive hit?

Perhaps. It depends on how long they keep this up and whether more reporters break ranks and look at the real issues at stake. There is a good story to be told about how many politicians are ginning up Trantifa. Peggy Flanagan, who is running for the US Senate from her perch as Minnesota Lieutenant Governor, just might get a question about how a knife is used to "Protect Trans Kids."
Or, maybe not.
Cultural turning points are rare, but they do happen. Biden's collapse on stage in the debate dealt a huge blow to the liberal establishment. Something hidden became apparent to everybody, and it created shockwaves. The Nashville trans shooting didn't break The Narrative, but a second anti-Christian trans hate crime might just do that.
